Posted by: greg1 on September 12, 2007 09:02 PMWow. Big mistake on my part to watch that crap. Like I wanna see what my son is facing everyday over in that hell hole. The lazy Iragi army has had far too long to step up to the plate and we are just enabling them. Our troops should be on the Pakistan border. That's where the cell is and Bin Ladin. If the prick is trully still alive. I just had a friend come home from an 18th month tour in Iraq and he stated that Bin ladin's name was never mentioned. Only Sudan. Mind boggling.
Posted by: Teresa on September 12, 2007 09:55 PMThe music from a movie made to mock the militaristic mindest of America. Way to completely miss the satire.
Posted by: Bob on September 12, 2007 10:17 PMTeresa, you demonstrate your ignorance very well. The Pakistani government is on our side, but the Pakistani people are not. If we pile up on their border like you suggest, we create a situation very unstable for their already fragile government. Everything in due time. We need to support their government. Piling up on their border only deteriorates the situation. Wake up and shut it. Let the adults like your son handle this situation.
The Iraqi Army is doing just fine. Slow. But coming around. I have the privilege of knowing an Army Ranger who was involved in the battle against the Army of Heaven a few months ago. That's right! The one where we were completely surrounded after trying to extract the crew from a downed US chopper. The Iraqi Army fought side by side with our troops for hours and hours, and my friend simply said that if there was ever any question about the loyalty and dedication of the Iraqi Army, it was certainly answered that day. In that battle: US and Iraqi Forces: 0 casualties; Army of Heaven: 250+ dead. Teresa, people like you need to STFU and STFU RTF NOW!!!!!! Go whine elsehwere.
Posted by: Paul on September 12, 2007 11:01 PMI know I sound harsh against Teresa, but there are too many people in this country putting their two cents worth on a situation they know absolutely nothing about. The decision to oust Hussein was the right move; a chess move. We stabilize that country and convert it into a strong ally, then we effectively split the Middle East with a strong ally located geographically in between two very evil states: Iran and Syria. I think the President's decision was right-on the money. Excellent and a potentially devastating chess move. If we backstab Iraq like the Democrats would have us do, then the terrorists won't be the only ones who hate us; how 'bout the entire Iraqi population. We stabbed them in the back once already, and we must not do it again. WE ARE WINNING IN IRAQ!
Posted by: Paul on September 12, 2007 11:13 PMYou are so right Paul. I am just going by what my son is telling me who is in Iraq RIGHT NOW. And the fact that that Dubya's soundbite Gen could not give an honest answer if the US is any safer now made me sick. He has belittled our fallen troops and the sacrifices they have paid.
Posted by: Teresa on September 12, 2007 11:35 PMMight I remind you that General Petraus' appointment received a unanimous confirmation by the Senate so your notion that this man is "Dubya's soundbite Gen" is absolutely ludicrous. Who is feeding you this garbage, Teresa? Moveon.org? Can't you think for yourself? The man's job is not to report on whether or not we are any safer, his job is to report on the progress in Iraq. Had you listened or read his entire report, you would have learned that it was very balanced. He reported the good news, and he reported the bad news. This man is a dedicated hero. HOW DARE YOU INSULT HIM LIKE THAT!!!!!! HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST THAT HE IS SOME MINDLESS SOUNDBITE ADVANCING A POLITICAL AGENDA! THIS MAN IS A UNITED STATES GENERAL!!! HE HAS NO POLITICAL AGENDA!!! HIS AGENDA IS TO WIN THIS WAR!!!!! Go to hell, Teresa. It is simply no longer an honest debate with you liberals because you are unable to focus on reality, facts, and results; only political idealogy and hatred for your country.

Posted by: Bob on September 12, 2007 11:56 PMBob - Are you as dumb as you sound? Just curious. We didn't miss the satire. Have you ever been in the military? This video was put together by military dudes who like South Park and their creators. Parker and Stone are equal opportunity offenders. If anything they were mocking the Hollywood liberals (FAG) and pointing out how anti-American they are. If you're gonna troll this site try demonstrating more intelligence than you have shown so far.
Posted by: Denny on September 13, 2007 12:00 AMLOL Bob -Do you know who you remind me of by posting that off topic link? A bedwetting liberal. Is that you in the video?
Posted by: Denny on September 13, 2007 12:15 AMPaul, you really need to see your Doc to get some Zanax or something. To say that Petraus is not trying to advance his political agenda is beyond stupid. Best of luck to you Honey.
Posted by: Teresa on September 13, 2007 12:24 AMNo I just think its humorous they put together a pro-army propoganda video and used music that's mocking the current status of the army. And no, in that song they weren't making fun of Hollywood liberals. They were making fun of radical conservatives .

It is one of Rush's favorites, just for your info.
Teresa...it is spelled Xanax...it would seem that all your sources are Flawed...
Posted by: ty guy on September 13, 2007 03:42 AMThe general's goal is both military and political.
Paul:
"HOW DARE YOU INSULT HIM LIKE THAT!!!!!! HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST THAT HE IS SOME MINDLESS SOUNDBITE ADVANCING A POLITICAL AGENDA! THIS MAN IS A UNITED STATES GENERAL!!! HE HAS NO POLITICAL AGENDA!!! HIS AGENDA IS TO WIN THIS WAR!!!!!"
Are you talking about Colin Powell? Westmoreland?
Sorry to rain on your parade, but one does not go far beyond Major without a political agenda.
Who was the 'architect' of the Surge? Why, it's the very same person who is called upon to critique it! Reminds me of students who want to grade their own homework after the correct answers have already been posted.
As regards Teresa, far as I'm concerned, she could say the sky is green and I'd tactfully hold my criticism until after her Son is safely home.
WE ARE WINNING IN IRAQ! Winning what? We are not due to 'win' in Iraq for at least the next 15 years or so. Maybe even 30 years.
Well, fuck all you bedwetters then. I'm proud of my country. I'm proud of my military. I'm proud of my President, and I'm especially proud of General Petraus today. Whether you like it your not, Dan, we are winning.
My opinion. My right. Have a nice fucking day.

Would it be okay with you if Admiral Fallon made the case against Gen. David Petraeus? By calling him (Petraeus) to his face "An ass-kissing little chickenshit" and adding, "I hate people like that."?
(source)
In sharp contrast to the lionization of Gen. David Petraeus by members of the US Congress during his testimony this week, Petraeus' superior, Admiral William Fallon, chief of the Central Command (CENTCOM), derided Petraeus as a sycophant (Noun 1. sycophant - a person who tries to please someone in order to gain a personal advantage, ass-kisser, crawler, toady, lackey, apple polisher, bootlicker, fawner, groveler, groveller, -someone who humbles himself as a sign of respect; who behaves as if he had no self-respect. A person who behaves extremely well in order to please a superior) during their first meeting in Baghdad last March, according to Pentagon sources familiar with reports of the meeting.
Fallon told Petraeus that he considered him to be "an ass-kissing little chickens**t" and added, "I hate people like that," the sources say. That remark came after Petraeus began the meeting by making remarks that Fallon interpreted as trying to ingratiate himself with a superior.
That extraordinarily contentious start of Fallon's mission to Baghdad led to more meetings marked by acute tension between the two commanders. Fallon went on to develop his own alternative to Petraeus' recommendation for continued high levels of US troops in Iraq during the summer.
The enmity between the two commanders became public knowledge when the Washington Post reported Sep. 9 on intense conflict within the administration over Iraq. The story quoted a senior official as saying that referring to "bad relations" between them is "the understatement of the century."
Fallon's derision toward Petraeus reflected both the CENTCOM commander's personal distaste for Petraeus' style of operating and their fundamental policy differences over Iraq, according to the sources.
The policy context of Fallon's extraordinarily abrasive treatment of his subordinate was Petraeus' agreement in February to serve as front man for the George W. Bush administration's effort to sell its policy of increasing US troop strength in Iraq to Congress.
LOL because Rush probably thought it was pro-army.
Posted by: Bob on September 13, 2007 11:07 AMPaul,
Have you ever been to i-raq? I did'nt think so. You have no idea the shit we are facing in that filthy islamic toiletbowl. The i-raqi army is a joke. They have flashes of brilliance mixed with horrible stupidity. There are good people there. However we have a lot of work to do. General Shinseki told that fuckin' ghoul rumsfeld (cocksucker) that we will need all the heavy armor and 3/4 of the light infantry to do the fuckin' job(About 500,000 Soldiers). This was in 2002. I am proud to be an NCO and proud of my service. We just fucked up a lot of shit that we MUST fix. People that never wore a uniform hold very little of my attention on military matters. In conclusion, Paul you should shut the fuck up and listen to differing points on the subject or enlist now and see firsthand. Teresa, I did'nt know you had a son over there. Tell him Godspeed for me. How about those Mets?
OK fine Dave I will. I'm just doing my duty over here supporting the troops over there. I'd enlist if I could but can't for reasons I won't disclose online. God bless you, and Godspeed to Teresa's son.
Posted by: Paul on September 13, 2007 01:36 PMSSG Dave - Paul is on our side. I think he got the plan right. Since they were able to topple the gummint in three weeks they thought stabilizing the country would be easy. Wrong! They fucked up! You're right. Not enough troops to do the job. They tried to win the peace on the cheap and failed.
I always commend your service to our country and when you're over in Iraq, I always hope you come home safely. I feel the same way about Teresa's son and my nephew (who is back in Iraq on his second tour). The fact that Teresa's son is over there does not shield her from people responding to her dumb comments.
Since you have been there, what do you think we should be doing in Iraq right now?
Crap! Fuck the Mets! I hate that team but it sure looks like they're gonna win the division. My Cardinals and Braves are out of it.
DanS - So should we cut and run? What is your solution?
Teresa - Damn! You're an RN. You should know it's Xanax. ;). As you should know, I'm behind your son all the way and hope he stays safe in Iraq. But, having a son in Iraq, does not insulate you from people making fun of many of your silly comments.
Posted by: Denny on September 13, 2007 01:37 PMMy solution?
Date-Certain ASAP!! With a HUGE parade over in Iraq. Why, I bet the Troops would actually GET those flowers and all that Rumsfeld/Cheney promised them sooo many years ago!
That's not cut-n-run! That's a VICTORY PARADE! I envision something like Sherman marching up to DC from Goldsboro NC on the way to Washington. Folks in NC HASTENED him along with hopes He would just spare them & their farms and such and just get the fuck OUT of the South!
For an even better read on this, find out what happened when Sherman DID arrive in DC for the Grand Army of the Republic parade. You might be amazed at what happened then.
Posted by: DanS. on September 13, 2007 04:00 PMThat gave me a chub.
Posted by: vetfromhell on September 13, 2007 05:56 PMDenny,
We gotta get ALL our asses over there until it's done. This Russian roulette year on year off bullshit is getting old. Loosen the rules to RAKKASAN standards. (Shoot an ungodly amount first, ask questions later). Kick all the media out for 3 months.(pipe dream) We have to make the i-raqis more responsible for and proficient at their duties. That will take more of our Soldiers, and more money. Fuck the far left and their coddle the moo-slimes policies. I bet JFK is rolling over in his grave at the current state of his party. They used to have some balls. High as fuck taxes but some balls. Now, forget it.
Bottom line: WE CAN'T FUCKING LEAVE i-raq UNTIL THE JOB IS AT LEAST 85% DONE. If we do leave too soon it would be catastrophic on a biblical scale.
Denny, Thanks for your kind words of support. You are a great American. (SRF?)
Paul, Thanks. Get a new flag up, and support the Patriot Guard Riders. I did'nt mean to be so abrasive earlier.
It's all good, Dave. You and all your brothers and sisters over there have tremendous admiration and gratitude from the Jackson clan in the great Pacific Northwest.
Posted by: Paul on September 13, 2007 07:44 PMGood God! So I misspelled Xanax. And I have always appreciated your support for my son in Iraq and No I do not want any special treatment because he is there. Too funny because I know that it would never happen on your blog. Please enlighten me about the silly posts that you mentioned. I missed Dubya's speach tonight because I was working. I heard that he is Finally asking for a troop withdrawl. That's fine with me as long as my son will not be left high and dry with no backup.
Posted by: Teresa W. on September 13, 2007 11:35 PMSSG Dave:
Would not our early-departure have a most-beneficial effect on "We have to make the i-raqis more responsible for and proficient at their duties."?
Consider what Lyndon Baines Johnson once said:
"We shouldn't have to do for Asian boys what they should be doing for themselves."
But ............ he continued, and actually escalated, doing exactly what he railed against.
Yet, he was RIGHT!
Bottom line: He should NOT have been listening to politicians at the expense of his own convictions.
Isn't 'just-so' with the President and his 'War on America'?
Last line should have read:
Isn't it 'just-so' with the current President and his 'War on America'?
Stand by for some Democrat to propose legislation for replacing a lot of doors in Iraq.
