BWV 998 Prelude
Now, the Allegro.
This is why you practice scales.

Awesome, Denny!

Great idea to wear a long black dress with red lined cuffs and collar. Drawing ones attention to her face and hands like a piece of art work, wonderful combination.
Posted by: h~ on September 16, 2007 12:31 PMCD - Practicing scales really sucks. I never did it on the guitar, hence I never learned to read music for the guitar and have to rely on tab.
I took two semesters of class piano in college and did learn scales. It made it so much easier to read piano music. Alas, I haven't played my piano in years and it sits, horribly out of tune in my music room.

I love tab. It's a huge help to strengthen the fingers and some-what get the theory going for me.
Scales were always too tedious and/or I was too lazy/busy to learn them. That's where I went wrong.
It's all about the scales...
