Why not? Because we all thought you were a gentleman!

A bit of clarification for the above comment here.
Posted by: Joan of Argghh! on January 5, 2008 05:50 PMNow that I know that you always post Bach on Saturdays, I'll go to your past posts, and I'll be here next Saturday. Bach sounds good on the guitar. I don't know why I'm surprised. Pre-conceived ideas, I guess.

Could someone please tell Diane Feinstein to get her over-sized mellon out of the frame?
Posted by: CharlieDelta on January 5, 2008 10:12 PMaccordion to my experience, that was Bach's Beerbarrelburg Concerto. Refreshing! Can we hope next for the Polka and Fugue in D Minus?
Seriously, Bach was the greatest, or second-greatest composer of all time, depending on your estimate of Mozart, and he was also a German. That means he must have loved beer, and everything associated with that beverage, revered second only to wine. So the Master himself must have smiled, and instead of rolling over in his grave, he may even have tried to do the Birdie Dance.

Posted by: Denny on January 6, 2008 09:22 AMThat kid played that piece just fine. The Italian Concerto is one of my favorites, although I prefer the first movement.
I took accordian lessons as a kid, and my teacher had an amplified accordion. The bass that came out of that thing was amazing. They sound better amplified, believe me. I used to hold my ear up against mine because the bass came through better that way. No one else could hear it though. Today, they have MIDI interfaces, and they can sound just like any other synth.
They Might Be Giants use accordians a lot, and they're cool. Geeky but cool.
