Long day without much to do. I registered for the camp in the morning but didn't have my seating clinic until the afternoon. When I showed up for my fitting, they were running late so I just hung out. Got to meet my ski buddy for the camp. She's a cute little intern named Nicole. She'll be responsible for helping me on and off the lift and picking my lardass butt off the snow when I fall.
Finally got set up in my rig. We'll see how well it works tomorrow.
The snow was wet today, so Ryan and Sherry only skied in the morning.
One of the instructors didn't make it in because of the storms in California and here in Colorado. Blame it on global warming.
We had a meet and greet with all the skiers and some of the instructors tonight. When I got back to the room at 7:30 Ryan and Sherry were both in bed sleeping. They'll prolly wake up at 4:00 in the morning.
My instructor tomorrow is Case. I had him last year.
Posted by denny at January 5, 2008 10:01 PMHope you have fun. My vacation this year was on a cruise down the west coast of Mexico.
Because of the intense Global Warming, I had to wear a jacket in Puerto Vallarta.
It was colder than anyone could remember for that time of year.
Look out for avalanches due to the melting icebergs....
But this weather IS the result of global warming. The excess melting has caused a small rise in ocean levels thus dramaticly increasing the surface area available for evaporation resulting in more clouds. Since the massive evaporation at in the artic sea cannot get out because of the new ice cap, it must come out some where resulting in even MORE clouds forming over the Pacific.

Be safe Denny and have a whale of a great time.
Hence, the warming. Or lack of it. Or, let's just play it safe and call it "Climate Change".
Regardless if it's getting warmer or cooler, let's all get ready to spend a buttload of money to prevent it getting warmer or cooler.

(I'm just jealous because I'm on my way to China in a few days, and it's NOT to go skiing.)
