Saturday Bach

Let's do an electric version of Air on a G-string.

Now on classical guitar.

Many thanks for your Saturday Bach. I started to play Bach (piano) at the age of 12. I'm still trying, at the age of 78! I enjoy his music so much. I love your presentations. I am new at the internet. I discover today that I can easily go to all your former "Saturday Bach" by typing the title in Category. I am having a wonderful time! I am deeply grateful.

I love the electric version! I know it's against the grain, but it's pretty badass!

Scales CD. Scales.

Claudia - Isn't Bach fun to play on the piano? It's just so mathematical and symmetrical.

Yes, I agree. Precise, neat, melodic. And also playful in some pieces. The Inventions made me joyful as a young girl. The one hand running after the other and arriving at an harmonious, logical conclusion. When I learned that he had had
twenty children, I used to dream that I could go and live in his house.
It's so wonderful to hear the various artists on your blog. You must be a musician yourself. Do you know of Glenn Gould?

I'm sorry, but that 1st one puts me in a mind of the opening for the "Dukes of Hazzard"...(grin) Ban me now, Denny !

I know Denny. I gotta get off my ass and learn me some scales!

Claudia - I play guitar and a little piano. I used to play banjo, but I haven't picked one up for over 20 years. I do know Glen Gould. I have three CD's of him playing Bach. BTW, if you've ever seen Silence of the Lambs, that is Glen Gould playing the Goldberg Variations when Lector killed the guards and escaped.
