Oh Lord, Stuck In Aspen Again

With apologies to Credence Clearwater Revival.

Crap! Deja Vu all over again. The Aspen airport is closed.

When we got up this morning it looked like we would make it out. We would have if the Sky West flight had left Salt Lake City on time. Didn't happen. By the time it left Salt Lake, it had started snowing in Aspen. It got diverted to Grand Junction. The same thing happened with the next flight. No flights in. No flights out.

Aspen and Snowmass bitched to the airlines about this problem. The airlines fixed half of it. If you were coming in and the plane couldn't make it to Aspen and diverted to Grand Junction they would bus you to Aspen. Unfortunately, they won't bus you to Grand Junction to get you out of Aspen.

On the upside, I got my old room back at the same rate. I might even get to go skiing tomorrow, 'cause it doesn't look like we'll be able to get out then either.

Damn this global warming!

Update: So Ryan, Sherry, and I were sitting in the hot top tonight and the sky was perfectly clear. The storm has blown over. Let's hope we don't have another one tomorrow.

Could be so much worse Denny. You could be stuck in Atlanta wanting to get to Aspen.

Now that you've got shelter, all you need is some good wine, and you're in great shape. Enjoy.

Time to spare? Go by Air!

Things could be worse, you could be on a bus, stuck in a blizzard in the mountains.

supergurl - Did you get another phone call from me? My keyboard on my cell came unlocked the other day and my phone called someone.
