Elliot Spitzer made a career out of rooting out and prosecuting people for such transgressions, he took extra pride in (and displayed righteous indignation at) the prostitution rings he broke up (leveling the playing field perhaps?) and indicting their clients. His entire gubernatorial campaign was based on vowing to clean up NY State politics, end corruption and return ethics to Albany, a vow made by many democrats. Remember their campaign promises back in 2006 to do just that in Washington DC? Yeah, neither do they.
