It's Easter so why not some Judas Priest? Judas Rising would be more appropriate, but I've already posted that. One of the things I like about this band is they have two awesome guitarists and they take turns playing lead.
Posted by denny at March 23, 2008 12:00 AMThe dualing guitars is pretty fuckin badass! I love the 'Flying V' too!
Happy METAL Easter everyone!
(lighter in the air)
Posted by: CharlieDelta on March 22, 2008 11:52 PMThe double-bass drums are pretty badass too!
Posted by: CharlieDelta on March 23, 2008 01:43 AMYES!!!!!!
JP Always sucked live-but how's about that light show? I love JP and this just makes my Easter Sunday! Thanks Big Den!!
LisaKay - JP always sucked live? WTF? I saw them live back in the 80's and they kicked ass. This is from a concert in Japan (I think). I saw the entire concert on VH1 that this excerpt was taken from.
CD - Yeah. The double bass drum kicks ass. He really used it on Judas Rising. Go back and watch that one and check out the drummer.
Posted by: Denny on March 23, 2008 07:47 PMSad Wings of Destiny, killer album. And British Steel, of course.
Posted by: vetfromhell on March 23, 2008 09:55 PMDenny-
Had to watch Judas Rising a couple times at full blast. (I'm sure the neighbors like me even more now. HA!) The dude is sitting down and running at full blast! It was knocking pictures off of my walls, but that's what METAL is all about right?
BADASS! The more I play, the more I appreciate how fucking killer it is. Thanks!
Posted by: CharlieDelta on March 24, 2008 12:49 AMNo offense, I'm just 'discriminating' when it comes to sound quality-The only live shows that I loved were the Everly Brothers and Stryper. Anyone can record well. I'm a nerd like that. The last JP show that I attended-I had to punch a guy in the face (more than once) and then I stomped on his foot. He had my little sis and wouldn't let her down. Ahh the 80's...
Posted by: LisaKay on March 25, 2008 12:33 PMIn LisaKay's defense, I have seen some really killer bands in really shitty venues where the show was great, but the sound sucked!
I saw Maiden @ the SD Sports Arena in '87 and the sound was so fucking loud you couldn't hear yourself screaming, but then again, that was the point...
