Need some American metal. Here's Ratt.
Holy crap! It's Uncle Milty! WTF is he doing in this video?
Posted by denny at March 30, 2008 12:00 AMAh yes, glam-rock. Those were the days. I was a Ratt kid waiting for the next 'Hit Parade' to come out so I could tape the pics to my walls and/or my Pee Chee folders and piss off the parents. I think I might even still have 'Out of The Cellar' on cassette...
Good times...
Posted by: CharlieDelta on March 30, 2008 01:07 AMOh man, Denny, I forgot all about the upcoming show Sunday April 20th. I'll be sure to send you some pictures of Warren DeMartini and Bobby Blotzer tearin' it up (if the Native Americans let me bring my camera in). It's gonna be a bitchen show never the less...
Posted by: CharlieDelta on March 30, 2008 04:30 AMI used to love that song! CharlieDelta and I are obviously of the same generation, since I used to do exactly the same thing...my bedroom walls were covered, ceiling to floor, with the insides of Circus and Hit Parader.
Hey, do you remember Gypsy Road by Cinderella? That was another great song from back then.
Dems were some very good times.
Posted by: Erica on March 30, 2008 10:01 AMRatt? Oh C'mon! How gay are they? The only cool song that they had was Lack of Communication. Plus, Stephen Pearcy is a huge asswipe much like Dawn Dokken.
Glam rock-Thank You David Bowie, Tommy Bolin and Boy George. What comes around goes around...
Erica-
Rock on!! Those were some good times weren't they? I remember not being able to wait for the next "Circus" mag to come out... At the time, Ozzy was plastered all over that mag.
The "big hair LA band".......never much my cup-o-tea, but they always had good looking women in the videos.
I think I am a few years to old for this. best rock album ever? London Calling ............just an opinion.
Posted by: patrick on March 30, 2008 10:20 PMBelieve it or not, Milton was in a couple of their videos. Apparently he really is someone's uncle, either in the band or one of their family members. I don't remember which exactly. Ancient history now.
Posted by: Richard on April 1, 2008 06:12 PMRichard - According to Wikipedia Milton's nephew was the band's manager. Who knew?
Posted by: Denny on April 1, 2008 07:11 PMPatrick, I'm so grinning at you...London Calling
