Dayum, that's heavy. Melville's treatment of human greed and obsession applied to the Clintonaricators. Now . . . since the whole idea of the story is catharsis, purging the evil in man, which one of 'em represents good? Con-fusin. Or is Teflobama s'posed to be Yshmael? Boy, another tie-in to Islam.

And wouldn't Hillary make a good Claggart in a remake of Melville's Billy Budd? Slick, of course, in the lead for The Fatty Arbuckle Story.

Black People can swim? BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHA!

There are some black people who can swim pretty well, but it is the exception rather than the rule. I read an interesting article on this once. Black people tend to have denser bone structure, which makes them less buoyant. So swimming takes more effort for many of them. That's why you don't see many black swimmers. It makes sense to me. When I was young, I had next to no body fat (that problem is unfortunately not with me any more!) and I sank like a rock every time I hopped in the pool. I hated swimming lessons because of it. The one plus was I had an easier time staying under to swim under water! Our oldest son has that same issue. He swims like a submarine. It kind of creeps me out.

You sure that shouldn't be "Obama The Dick"?

Black people can swim! I worked at a prison that had a swimming pool (yes, your tax dollars at work)-- Black inmates swam as well as others. Some said they didn't like the water because it dried out their skin too much and made their hair frizz. No BS.

Ralph - for sure!

I think I read that in Discover Magazine, but I could be mistaken. It was a long time ago. We get Discover and Science News. There was an article on race differences in sports. As I recall from the article, baseball was one sport where the backgrounds of the players tended to be more diverse. There were more black players in basketball. However, I guess you do get the occasional 7' tall Chinese player! BTW, tall people do have something of an advantage in competitive swimming.

Of course I KNOW that black people can swim! It was just a joke-a Navy Joke-I love me some fried chicken, waterbamelon and collards and I'm a skinny leggy white chick. I'm not your typical white person that Oblabber would most certainly freeze in fear at first sight. In his audacious book, he talks about how to assauge whitey's fears. I didn't fear him as a candidate for Prez until I realized that he was a socialistic Democrat and I read his book and learned some more about him. Frightening.
