Yeah, standing two feet from the glass will sure get the optimum velocity you're looking for to actually do some damage. That window might as well been out of Reynolds Wrap...

That's why in baseball the pitcher throws 10 feet from the plate. DUH!

As a professional rock-throwing-window-breaker in my younger years, that was one of the first things I learned; distance is key. Especially after getting a face full o' glass on one occasion.
