Rob For President

Frequent commenter Rob posted th following comment. Let's get him to run for president and make this (edited slightly) his stump speech.

My fellow Americans,

Let me remind you that those morons Pelosi, Reid, Schumer and the other libtards told us to make them the majority again and they would lower energy prices, and now since THEY started ruining, I mean running, Congress:

Gas prices have doubled.

Inflation is at its highest level in almost 20 years.

Unemployment has increased by 10%. It's now up to 5.5%.

The stock market has lost value.

The dollar is wayyyy lower compared to other currencies.

The mortgage crisis happened because democrats demanded people who had no right getting loans got them anyway, and when they couldn't repay them, they blamed the lenders.

Energy independence is the key. More drilling and the fast-tracking of it. Nuclear power. Alternative energy development.

Obama and the libtards are so tied to the evironmental nazis that even with gas prices at all time highs and showing signs of going higher, their answer is the status quo. DO NOTHING! Except sue OPEC and raise taxes on the oil companies. And take over the oil refineries to fuck up the system even more.

These libtards make Teresa TDO look downright bright, saying "we can't drill our way out of this".

WHAT THE FUCK??? How stupid do they think we are? HOW STUPID ARE THEY???

It's supply and demand, libtard MORONS. Increase the Goddamn supply OR THREATEN TO, and you watch the speculators start speculating that if supply increases prices will decrease, and OPEC will realize we mean business, and they'll start pumping more, and prices will fall. It's fuckin' basic economics!

I'm outta beer, so I'll add more later...Priorities, ya know!

Thank you.

we cant drill our way out of this is like saying we cant stop starvation by farming more

Thanks Denny. I got my beer. A case of Coors Light (It's a Colorado thing). Let me drink a few and I'll add more, although you added a couple things I didn't get to.

You got my vote RC...

Posted by: CharlieDelta on June 19, 2008 09:40 PM

cory - or we cannot drink our way out of sobriety!!

I do think though that like any presidential ticket you must counter Rob's potential weaknesses with anothers strength. Rob doesn't say much about foriegn policy so I think CD with his simple and straightforward thoughts on foriegn policy might be a good pick.......or if we need a woman LisaKay or Peggy U. .......watch out Rino's !!

Posted by: patrick on June 19, 2008 09:40 PM

Rob's foreign policy- Fuck with us and you're history. Short, but to the point.

Posted by: Rob Cooper on June 19, 2008 09:51 PM

BTW, you know what REALLY pissed me off today? Ticket-fuckin-master! I bought 8 tickets to see Judas Priest, Jackyl, and Drowning Pool on Aug. 1st.
The concert is sponsored by classic rock 98.6 in KC, so the tickets were $19.86 each, a great price to see 2 great bands (I've seen Priest and Jackyl before, never heard of Drowning Pool), right?
Well, the asswipes at Ticketmaster also charged a $7.55 per ticket service charge, and on top of that a $5.50 order charge! So on top of $160.00 for the tickets, I had to pay $66 in service charges!
Why don't the libtards running congress investigate Ticketmaster and stop their pathetic dog and pony shows with the oil company execs whose hands are tied because of their insane policies?

Posted by: Rob Cooper on June 19, 2008 10:04 PM

Ticket-Rapester fucking blows! Always has and always will. Fucking monopoly. The can take their service charges and cram it up their ass. Sounds like a killer show though!

Hey Denny, what's up with your email? It keeps bouncin' shit back to me...

Posted by: CharlieDelta on June 19, 2008 10:25 PM

CharlieDelta, you're not the only one who has the email bouncing. Is it a 550 error?

Denny, did you forget to pay your bill? I'm getting a 550 error. It could mean "The account of the BellSouth customer is suspended." among a few others.

CD- It should be great! I last saw Priest in 1986, and Jackyl when they opened for Aerosmith in 1995, I think, on Aerosmith's "Get A Grip" tour.
But I'm taking five 17-20 yr olds, so I'll have to keep an eye on them while watching the concert, because I know they'll try to buy beer, or have someone of age buy it for them. They always forget I was that age once, and what they're trying to do, I've already done more than once! : )
BTW, it's a general admission concert, no reserved seats.

Posted by: Rob Cooper on June 19, 2008 10:42 PM

CD - I think it's because I'm maxed on bandwidth for the month so my site won't forward the mail. Try sending it to gocinatlanta@bellsouth.net

Posted by: Denny on June 19, 2008 10:45 PM

10-4 Denny. I'll try that one...

RC-
17-20 year olds? Fuck man, you're gonna have your hands full. Better ask someone to video the show for you, 'cause I don't think you're gonna get to see much of it through the clouds of smoke. :-)

They always forget I was that age once, and what they're trying to do, I've already done more than once!

Funny how that works isn't it? Luckily for me, my Dad knew what was going on and kinda looked the other way, because he was trying to pull off that same shit with his Dad.

How does it go? Pay it forward? Yeah, that's it...

Fuck yeah man! Enjoy the show!!

Posted by: CharlieDelta on June 19, 2008 10:57 PM

Right on, Rob. Tip o' the hat and cheers to ya!

Posted by: Paul on June 19, 2008 10:57 PM

I like how the libs say that drilling ANWR or anywhere else won't help our current gas prices. Well, yeah. But it may make gasoline $6.00 per gallon instead of $10.00. That would be almost like getting our gas now for free.

Posted by: Mark on June 20, 2008 12:11 AM

Patrick, thanks for your vote ;) I don't think that I would be good in public office, a)I don't play well with others b)I'm a dork speaking in public and in a debate situation I tend to make faces, roll my eyes and 3)Women hate me, my own sister would worm her way out for a crack at a few enquirer bucks. How's about I play Carl Rove this time? hahaha!

Posted by: LisaKay on June 20, 2008 05:31 AM

I like this post Denny! I like that people are FINALLY getting it...like moderate Democrats etc. Also, if we were to start drilling, image the psychological effect. Yes, prices would come down. What if we could exploit all of the oil resources that we have in a few years? Shit, we could start exporting to other countries, like Claudia's exotic Island of Toronto for example...The dollar would beome Super Man strong and ummm-what national debt? Hey, I'm a real Conservative-I'm Optimistic and Idealistic! Can't you just hear Happy Days are Here Again playing in the background? I want to open a KFC in Iraq and do something to get in on the oil biz!

Rob
I am a former resident of the great state of Colorado, now living three feet from HELL in Phoenix its going to be 114 degrees today. How may times have you toured the Coors Brewery, personally we hit the tour twice a week (2 free beers with the tour) BTW Great post!

Posted by: Greg on June 20, 2008 09:22 AM

Wouldn't that be great if a president ended a speech with "I'm outta beer, so I'll add more later"? I'd laugh my ass off

Posted by: Dave Hughes on June 20, 2008 10:56 AM

Greg- I've been on the Coors tour a few times, usually when relatives visit. I live in Breckenridge so I don't get down to Denver very often, especially with the gas prices because my Jeep Grand Cherokee is full-time 4WD with a V-8 and gets about 15 MPG, unless it's to go to Apple Jacks in Wheat Ridge to load up the truck with booze. I love that place- A liquor store the size of your average grocery store, and with great prices if you watch their ads.
But I will say this- Once I get through the Eisenhower tunnel I can put the truck in neutral and coast almost all the way into Denver, since it's almost a one mile drop with a mostly 30% grade from the tunnel to Denver.

ya got my vote. common sense. it's so rare.
btw drowning pool kicks ass and are major supporters
of the troops.

I've never understood why politicians are so lacking in braincells, and regular folks, so damn clever. Great thinking, R.C. I'll try Coors Light anytime...

Posted by: Claudia on June 20, 2008 11:54 AM

Cathy- Really? That's cool! I'll have to buy some of their music. Any suggestions? I hate buying cd's where one song is good and all the others suck.
And Claudia and Paul thank you. I like Cory's comment- we cant drill our way out of this is like saying we cant stop starvation by farming more.
