Saturday Guitar

They say that Vivaldi wrote over 250 concerti or the same concerto over 250 times. Here's one of them in its entirety. The first time I heard this concerto Angel Romero was the soloist.

Bravo! Great choice. Wonderful to hear the full Concerto. I'm playing the video again, and again. I'll never tire of it. Each movement is so enticing. I'm dancing to the music. A real concert, well-done, in a beautiful setting: The Royal Alcazar Palace, in Seville, Spain.

Vivaldi is great. Bach was inspired by him. He was a prolific composer. Except for "The Four Seasons", he has been neglected. Some of his music has been discovered, and played for the first time in recent years. I'm going to look for some CDs.

Thank you, Denny.

Absolutely beautiful, and perfectly done.

Claudia - I have a CD of Vivaldi concerti played on the guitar by Pepe Romero with I Musici. The concerto I posted was originally written for mandolin.

Denny - Thanks. I'll try to find it. This concerto is so beautiful. I will love to listen to more played by a guitarist.

"Beauty is as Beauty does" as Forest would say. "The Royal Alcazar Palace, in Seville, Spain." (thanks, Claudia) lends it's beauty to complete the lovely experience.

Denny you always manage to retrieve gems to share. Much appreciation~
