the rare times i hear that word remind me of the defenestrations of prague. what a weird way to throw a coup. but, it does give me pause as to its use in washington these days...

Beautiful new word for me, LisaKay. I went to Google. From Latin: de (out of) fenestra (window). In French, window is "fenêtre". I should have seen the connection.
