Camp Blownstar Trip Day 10

Kansas City Missouri

I'm back in my home state. Very boooo-ring drive today. I mean it was freaking Nebraska fer chrissakes. Ya know the best thing to come out of Nebraska? I-80. Put the cruise control on 80 and relax. No curves. Just a nice straight road. Yawn occasionally.

Dear Nebraska, Arizona, and Colorado: Thanks for having a 75 mph speed limit on your interstates.

Dear Texas: Thanks for having an 80 mph speed limit on I-10 between Kerrville and El Paso.

Talked to my sister. My nephew just eloped. She sent me a picture. His wife is a hottie. Nope. Not gonna post the picture.

Talked to some of my St. Louis friends. My old girlfriend's beau just had brain surgery. I think I'd rather be a cripple.

That's it. Tomorrow I'm taking a roundabout way to Jefferson City to see my old IBM buddy Cliff. Maybe I'll post some stories about him and me when we worked for the Mattel Office Products Division of IBM. That job really sucked!

Thanks for the post. It's good to hear from you at the end of the day. Of course, y'd rather be you than your ex-girlfriend's beau, surgery or not. You're a walking cripple, Denny. You don't let anything stop you from going everywhere and doing everything. You're far more mobile in mind, body and spirit than many two-good-legs-men. This trip, that you're doing, is probably the dream of most of the guys who visit here. There you are, alone with your wheelchair, on the road, cruising your country, in your beautiful BMW, speeding up whenever possible. You, a cripple? No, sir! You're not even old, and grouchy.....;-) Have a good time with your buddy. Looking forward to read tales of your past.

Smart young couple, your nephew and his wife. Marry quietly. Get the party when they return. No stress. A lot more fun. My best wishes to them.

NE rocks! Same as MS. Wide open spaces full of corn and soybeans. Can't you just smell the sorhgum? Smells like ass just like all of our packing plants. But it is money to our great midwestern states. And Hello? Can you slow the fark down and even try a little to conserve and lessen our dependency on foriegn oil? I hate to sound like a tree hugger here but it sucks right now for us middle class Americans trying to feed our kids and paying almost $4.00 for gas. I used to be upper middle class until now. Thank you Dubya :(

Posted by: Teresa on July 4, 2008 10:59 PM

Teresa (TDHO) - Thank the liberal assholes you support for the high gas prices. They are the ones who have prevented domestic drilling. We have enough oil in this country but you and your ecotard friends won't let us get it or refine it. You are part of the problem. Just wait until Jug Hussein Ears gets elected. It will get worse.

And no, I won't slow down. I can afford to pay $4 a gallon. I'm a snotty rich fuck. Fuck the poor!

Oh yeah. Nebraska sucks!

Posted by: Denny on July 4, 2008 11:34 PM

Aw, Denny. I've got a soft spot for my hatching ground. I prefer to think it has a stark beauty to it. You've got to look at it just right to find it. ;)

Posted by: PeggyU on July 5, 2008 02:54 AM

OMG! TDHO!
Oh how I've missed you! Since you are STILL blaming your pathetic lot in life on GWB, how's about you just endorse that economic stimulus check and send it to me? I'll take it and actually have some fun spending it. Oh wait, you prolly already sent to Obambi or Al Bore for a Carbon ass print Credit huh? BTW, you use to be upper middle class until YOU what? You couldn't turn on the cable tv or flip a switch for the lights, or feed your pretend children? GWB didn't take your money away from you Teresa, I'll be polite as I can-The Crack Don't Smoke Itself.

Posted by: LisaKay on July 5, 2008 06:42 AM

Denny......

Did you see TDHO on a corner holding up a sign.... "Will Whine about Bush for Ethanol".... when you drove thru? Just wondering, Nebraska must have some humour somewhere.

Posted by: dudley1 on July 5, 2008 08:39 AM

Glad to have you home-Safe 'n' sound.

Posted by: Sandy G on July 5, 2008 09:17 AM

Sorry to hear about the ex-girlfriends brain surgery. What is the issue? I wouldn't want anybody cutting into my brain.

Posted by: Sean on July 5, 2008 10:16 AM

Sandy G - By "home state" I meant the state I grew up in. I've still got to go to st. Louis for a few days (toasted ravioli, Imo's Pizza, and gooey butter cake) and on Wednesday I head home to Georgia.

Sean - It's not my ex-girlfriend who had surgery. It is her long time boyfriend. He had to have a malignant tumor removed from his brain.

LisaKay and Peggy U - Aren't you glad that TDHO came back for some more bitchslapping? I STG she must be a masochist. I thought you and others had driven her off, but she keeps coming back and spouting more liberal talking points.

You can't fix stupid!

Posted by: Denny on July 5, 2008 03:09 PM

I honestly thought TDHO had gone for treatment. It was so nice and peaceful without her. I don't wish her ill but she calls for everything she gets. She's sure mixed-up. Her poor kids!

Posted by: Claudia on July 5, 2008 04:10 PM

I got to thinking, and it might not have been quite fair to add the H to TDO. I don't think she's an Obamanite. I think she's a liberal without a party right now. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Posted by: PeggyU on July 5, 2008 04:12 PM

PeggyU - In Texas we call her type "yellow dog democrats". They'll vote for whatever the democrats run out there.........even a yellow dog.

I think its safe to leave the H, unless we want to substitute it for a " YD"

Posted by: patrick on July 5, 2008 06:01 PM

Well, in that case, Denny, keep up the good work...You seem to be having an Extremely Large Time ! Keep us posted & thanks again for the unbelievable pics !!

Posted by: Sandy G on July 5, 2008 07:22 PM

Enjoy your trip. Glad you warned me, I don't ever want to be reminded of the short time I was supposed to learn to fix copiers and add a few to my already overloaded territory.

Needless to say, I just couldn't seem to handle it. The regular copier guys finally said it would be a lot faster and easier if they just took them damn things back.

So, if you do post about that, make sure it is in the post header, so I won't read it.

Papa Ray

Posted by: Papa Ray on July 5, 2008 07:39 PM

Papa Ray - I was advanced products trained on all the mag media. My manager wanted me to learn copiers. I avoided them like the plague. When I crossed over to FE, I avoided getting 3800 (the high speed printer that was essentially a copier) trained until a few months before I transferred to Atlanta to be an instructor.

Peggy U - OMFG! TDHO is an Obamamite big time. She's looking forward to the black Jimmah Carter.

Posted by: Denny on July 5, 2008 10:14 PM

Well hell then, add an extra "H" just for good measure! TDHHO.

Posted by: PeggyU on July 5, 2008 11:01 PM

Teresa, you imbecile, as I recall a gallon of gas averaged $2.19 a gallon the day your heroes Pelosi and Reid took over congress on 20Jan2007, promising to "lower energy prices". Nice job, libtards!

If you'll do for the rest of America what you've done to our gas prices, Heaven help us.

p.s. Here's a hint, Teresa, you dummy: Causing the price of a gallon of gas to almost double in less than two years is not lowering the price.

Posted by: Rob Cooper on July 5, 2008 11:12 PM

TDHO, If you want to know where to fix the blame for the high gas, look to AlBore and the Kyoto/ glowbull(shit) warming. When the ecotards (you) decided to give China and India a FREE pass, you opened the door to massive economic growth in their back ass wards countries. China has zilch for environmental protection, but they now have the indusrty that is being forced out of Europe by the carbon bullshit and are creating ten times the pollution the Eurowheenines ever did for the same or less product.
Communism, the thing we thought we defeated when the Berlin wall came down won a major victory when they back doored money to Billy Jeff and got free reign in the Kyoto treaty thanks in large part to Al.
Now, as China's manufacturing grows by leaps and bounds, they need fuel to feed that growth.
Thats right dumbass, you fucked your self when you voted dumbascrap. Pat your self on your worthless back.
Claudia is right, you need to go for treatment. unfortunately no one does brain implants yet. You're dumber then Jane.

Posted by: Jeremy on July 6, 2008 09:19 AM

Aww, c'mon, Jeremy, old bean...Tell us how you REALLY feel...Don't hold back none, ya hear ?!? Bye the bye, if the libtards would consent to let us start drilling in ANWAR & off the coasts, I think the price of crude would drop in half virtually overnight...

Posted by: Sandy G on July 6, 2008 10:21 AM

Jeremy -

Actually, there might be hope for TDHO. If you google "Brain Transplant" you'll see that The Baylor University Medical Centre, in Dallas, has perfected a way to effectuate one. Dr.Stephen Hawking, whose health is failing, has volunteered his. He says he still has much to offer to science if his brain remains alive. The problem is to find a receiver. It seems that people with brain deficiency are "perversely attached to their empty head". Some Hollywood actors were approached. They have refused the offer. Stephen Hawking suggested Congress.

Posted by: Claudia on July 6, 2008 11:53 AM

Claudia: If they put Stephen Hawking's brain in Nancy Pelosi's skull, would her glass-eyed stare go away? It would be worth it just for that. Or Harry Reid ... maybe the insipid whine that comes out his piehole would be replaced with intelligent and intelligible speech. Of course, being from Washington, I'd be willing to sacrifice one of our senators for the cause. Murray, Cantwell ... pick one. Maybe Cantwell - she's younger so she would have a few more miles in her.

Posted by: PeggyU on July 6, 2008 02:38 PM

PeggyU - I know it couldn't be me. I'm too old. The only reason I would want Stephen's brain would be to understand the GOC Monday Pun. He has a great sense of humour. Maybe, if I call him, he would agree to explain them secretly to me. Then I could dazzle all of you.

Posted by: Claudia TDO on Monday on July 6, 2008 03:34 PM

Jeremy.....

TDHO is a walking talking example of you can`t fix stupid. Many people from Denny, myself, LisaKaye,Peggy & many others have patiently taken the time to explain or cite examples in an attempt to get her to think & reason. It did not take.

A perfect point is what you are attempting to get her to understand as to who is really responsible for the shortage of as well the cost of gas & oil.......It does not matter how clearcut as to who is actually responsible....it is all Dubya`s fault!

When we have cited examples to her & gave referance to where the information came from ....we are wrong,it is all Dubya`s fault!

As for the war, the economy, the environment, hurricanes, tornado`s, gas, oil, corn......it is all Dubya`s fault!

The essential differance between stupid & ignorance is .....ignorance can be cured with education, stupidity is forever but what the heck....that is Dubya`s fault also!

Posted by: Dudley1 on July 6, 2008 06:39 PM

Me thinks TDHO is the one who should be having brain surgery. Nobody can be that stupid without trying...

Posted by: CharlieDelta on July 6, 2008 07:43 PM

CD, you'd have a better chance performing a vasectomy on her because you damn sure won't find a brain. Some people are truly amazing. I honestly believe TDHO could function on three brain cells. too bad she aint got em.
Claudia, seriously, would you want to stick a brain into her skull? Its so full of bullshit that the environ is totally toxic.
Dudley, agreed! Thats why my comment was more insult then anything.

Posted by: Jeremy on July 7, 2008 08:25 AM

Teresa the dumb one/moron/buffoon,

Let's look at your President Bush for a second. We are fighting a war on no less than two fronts, gas prices are at their highest (thanks to the socialist dimocrats in our government), and a bunch of morons in financial institutions felt it was a "right" for high risk idiots to be given home loans that we are all paying for right now, and yet we are still not in a recession. That's a testimony to the strong administration he now is in charge of. Thank goodness for his strength and direction. You gotta hate that don't you.

Posted by: Ray on July 7, 2008 08:52 AM

You repuke farktards are killing me. I used to laugh at your posts but now I just feel very sad for all of you. Dubya got us in this econominal mess and yet you stand by him. Priceless.

Posted by: Teresa on July 7, 2008 11:20 PM

TDHO-
What's priceless is that you continue to come here and post your libtard drivel. Did you even read Rob Cooper's comment? Probably not.

I used to be upper middle class until now.
-TDHO, for as long as I've been reading your dipshit comments here, I can't see that you've ever had any class. Crawl back under your rock and STFU.

Posted by: CharlieDelta on July 8, 2008 01:55 AM

TDHO.............

Another Brainfart from the Omaha Oddball.....The message is?? Dubya done it! Bwahahahaha! I must commend you for your originality. Bwahahahaha!

I do not know about the econominal mess but the economy is still not in recession....despite what your liberal news heros proclaim. Dubyas tax cuts for the rich keep it from tanking completely.......Bwahahahahha!

Posted by: dudley1 on July 8, 2008 07:23 AM

TDHO - I used to be middle class and now I'm upper middle class. What did I do right that you did wrong? We're not standing by Dubya as much as we're standing against the Dimocrats. Do you realize that gas prices have doubled since the Dimocrats took over Congress? And that they don't have a plan except Poof! Pure Fucking Magic? They're against increasing the supply of oil
(they actually want the price of gas to go up to force us out of our cars)and they're gonna raise taxes when Jug Hussein Ears is elected yet still you stand by them. Sad. So sad. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. I don't really feel sorry for you. I'm actually laughing at your ignorance and stupidity. You are the classic booger eatin' moh-ron.

Denny......

TDHO,Congress & Blame.......

The Rasmussen Poll has the following courtesy of Don Surber`s site as to Congressional approval..."Blame"

Republicans: last month gave congress a 7% approval rating, this month a 8% approval rating.

Independents: last month gave congress a 6% approval rating, this month a 3% approval rating...Special note! as this is within the poll`s margin of error, it is possible no Independent approves of Congress.

The loyal Democratic base: Last month gave congress a 17% approval rating this month a 13% approval rating.

So....If we were to have 100 voters from each party "300 in all" the total number of those who approve of what congress is doing will be 24 with 276 who say they are failing. "9.2%"aggregate average for those who approve. The only possible explanation for this total is Rasmussen must have called TDHO 24 times.

Bwahahahahaha! Take that approval rating to the bank TDHO ! A 9.2% approval rating & you think we got it wrong?
