Saturday Bach

CD. Watch his right hand closely. His thumb takes care of the base stings while his three fingers (index, middle, and ring) take care of the treble strings. This looks like it's a pretty easy finger picking piece. There are some pretty good stretches on the left hand. I'm gonna have to see if I can find the tablature for this. MPA shut down the Power Tabs site but they say they have resolved the legal dispute and will be back soon.

Very good. It's clearly and softly done. Are there 7 strings for the right hand, Denny? Like 7 notes? I'm still trying to understand the working of the guitar. Chords with the left hand? I looked at one in the Music store, but was to shy to ask questions to the clerk. Didn't want ending up buying one!I'm easy to convince by a good salesman...

Hope you get the tabs. If you learn the piece, would you make a video, please. I would love to hear someone I know playing Bach on the guitar.

As always, thanks for the music.

Thumb for Bass and three fingers for treble is standard technique for classical music. The first thing you learn is PIMA, that's for the initials for the Spanish words for Thumb, first, second and third finger. Classical tabs are written that way. Back in the 60s I had a basic book that laid it all out. It was, and still is, great fun.

Awesome! I wish I had the patience to mess around with finger picking. As is, I'm just a pickin' type of dude. It's how I learned and how I've been playing for as long as I have been playing. I wouldn't know any other way.
