A worthy effort but compared to the original Slade version its only a thin copy.

One of the silliest thigns I ever encountered is this whole "_______ is unworthy of this song, Band Alpha did it better."

For my generation, the post baby boomer era, this song introduced us to Slade, which face it, by 1982 was a drug addled mockery of its former self. Noddy had lost his range by the 80's, so the band's early work was opened up.

And yes, I did see a tape, long tiem back of them at the Reading festival...

Strange, after having spent teh last of my formative years listening to hair bands, I now wonder what I found so intriguing about those homos, other than they could crank out some loud and proud tunes. In retrospect MTV provided a somewhat embarrassing dis-service. G*d, I don't want my grandkids knowing what we were like back then...think about the grandchildren!

Man, that brings back some memories...
