Dang, M4GW is one heck of a site, I love their teeshirts.
Posted by: Jeremy on July 15, 2008 01:41 AMGet a grip of reality! The polar ice caps are indeed melting! On Mars. All you have to do is look at satellite photos.
Now, if THAT ain't GW's fault....
Posted by: nhtom on July 15, 2008 09:42 AMI won't be happy until I can plant palm trees here in Michigan. Until then, It's not warm enough.
Who was it that decided that the world should never change anyway? It's been changing for millions of year. Now that we start to inhabit the Earth, all of a sudden it should stand still. No plants or animals should evolve. No new wet-lands or deserts. All wetlands should remain wetlands and all deserts should remain deserts. And if anything DOES change... Well then it's GOT to be our fault, of course. And if things DO change? By God we'll force it to remain the same. Because that's the way things always were before we arrived.
It's just lunacy.
Hey GOC people!!!!!!
Would there be Global Warming if A Gore won in 2000!!!!
A most interesting thought....
Posted by: ty guy on July 15, 2008 11:37 AMYep. Algore's so full of Hot Air, it'd prolly be even worse....
Posted by: Sandy G on July 15, 2008 12:01 PMtyguy: I suspect there would have been a miraculous cure shortly after his policies were instated. Also suspect that if Obama is elected, some study somewhere will show that the sea level has dropped. When you have the news media in your pocket, anything is possible. I'd look for sunny economic forecasts as well. Can he make the Mariners win? That would take more than a garden variety media miracle.
Now "global warming" is based on computer models, correct? Of course, once the "warming" part of it did not stand up, the buggaboo has now been rechristened "climate change". Climate change = bad??? Does that imply climate stagnation = good? If so, it would be interesting to run a projection for what would happen (to the sea level, the ice caps, worldwide agricultural, erosion, etc.) if the climate were held at a set position. Yes, I realize the whole idea is ludicrous, but then so is "global warming".
I'm just saying, presume no climate change from here on out. Where will that lead us?
Posted by: PeggyU on July 15, 2008 12:29 PM"Voluntary Human Extinction", huh ? Fine. Let THEM all go first..More air, water, & animals for the rest of us to breathe, drink 'n' eat...I'm 51, I'll be HAPPY to go extinct in about another 50-60 years or so...
Posted by: Sandy G on July 15, 2008 02:05 PMFor the first time in my life I can say I'm proud to be from Minnesota ... Uh, nevermind.
TVGuy does pose and interesting question concerning an A. Gore victory in 2000. I tend to think we'd be neck deep in taxes and restrictions. Then they would show the data of the cooling of the past few years and claim it was working.
Whew, let's hope we continue to dodge that bullet.

Can he make the Mariners win?
Oooohhhhh, that sent a tingle up my leg.
What the heck, what is that. Dayum, it was just a little spider. Wrong kinda tingle. Never mind. Back to reality.
