Recall Notice

I never received this from BMW. Jon was nice enough to send it to me.

And remember, you are signaling your intention, not your right.

Here in Western Washington, requiring the use of turn indicators is, by law, an invasion of privacy. Actually using them is also a punishable offence.

Turning them on for a blink or two AFTER beginning to change lanes is permitted.

No 'turn signal fluid' comment?

Strange ... it was here a little while ago .... very strange.

Ahh, well. The Convention is on in 15 minutes so nevermind.

Note: the BEST coverage of any/all Conventions is on C-SPAN! No 'talking heads' to tell you what you heard with your own ears and saw with your own eyes and NO COMMERCIALS!

DanS -

The commercials, during this Democratic Convention, are the only moments I can watch without being nauseated. As for the "talking heads",(except on Canadian CTV) we already know that 99% are sold out. They're laughable.

I always look forward to your comments because they come from a 'foreign perspective' and hence are valuable outright.

Why are you 'nauseated' by all but the commercials?

Posted by: DanS. on August 27, 2008 11:16 PM

DanS - Let me take a stab at that. It's prolly because she doesn't like listening to traitorous rat bastard commies. I listen to the bullshit for my readers.

Denny -

'preciate you takin' one for the team.

i agree with both claudia and DanS. the commercials are the only reason to stay tuned, but watching without the talking heads (so you can actually hear what is being said on the floor) is certainly more tolerable.

it's bad enough listening to the original version of the socialists' words, but to hear them regurgitated by another spineless french crab [had to get that in again] is just too painful.

imho, Pip

Denny - Thank you for knowing my heart and soul so well.;-)

DanS -

For what I think of Michelle and Hillary, read my comment on Denny's post "Democratic Convention." As for Clinton, I've said it before, I'll say it again. He is an impeached President. That it was not ratified means nothing to me. He is a liar, a perjurer, a womanizer. He desecrates the title of President of the United States. It makes me sick in my stomach that he is allowed to participate in USA elections.

As for Obama, he has too many doubtful connections for me to even consider him as a rightful candidate and worthy of that great office.

I watch the convention only partly. Why do I submit myself (a Canadian) to the nauseating experience? Because I don't take anybody's word that they are as bad as they are. It's not believable (unless I see it) that your great country (which I love) could not find someone better than Obama to represent the Democratic Party. But then the Democratic Party has been the refuge of political mediocrities for a number of years now. It would need a solid revamping to be an honourable opposition in any election.

Pip - It's past midnight and spineless french crab is my first laugh today. Merci! Merci! Merci!

"But then the Democratic Party has been the refuge of political mediocrities for a number of years now"

Claudia, priceless comment. I love it. Unfortunately all too true.

In South Florida signaling is a sign of weakness.

On I-285, someone signalling to merge into your lane is just an indication you're not following the car ahead closely enough.

Turn signals? Those are so old fashioned. If you see dents on the right rear fender, It means they make a lot of right turns. Dents on the left? Lots of left turns. Passenger door caved in? Means they make a lot of left turns on busy streets. What more does one need to know?

Excellent! Just Excellent, you have defined the Demo-Communist party so accurately.......I bestow honorary membership in the Republican National Committee to you.

DanS.....How do it feel to have been bested by Claudia, those Quebecers are tough ,very tough .....They pay attention to what is going on too.
