Vent

A veritable goldmine if blogging fodder is contained in The Vent in the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation. Here's one from today.

It’s amazing to me how Republicans are able to persuade poor, uneducated people to vote Republican and to even vote against their own interests.

Projection dude! That's what Dimocrats do. Want some examples? Howza 'bout poverty in big cities?

Top Ten Cities in Poverty

What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate all have in common?

Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961;

Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954;

Cincinnati, OH (3rd)...since 1984;

Cleveland, OH (4th)...since 1989;

Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor;

St. Louis, MO (6th)....since 1949;

El Paso, TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;

Milwaukee, WI (8th)...since 1908;

Philadelphia, PA (9th)...since 1952;

Newark, NJ(10th)...since 1907.

Einstein once said, 'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.'

It is the disadvantaged who habitually elect Democrats --- yet are still disadvantaged.

I remember the War on Poverty. We threw trillions at it and are still doing so today. Poverty won. You don't solve poverty by giving poor people money, yet over and over that is the Dimocrats' answer for ending poverty.

What has the Dimocrat Party done for blacks other than keeping them down on dat ol' poverty plantation? Oh yeah. They buried the word "nigger" in some cemetery in Detroit. How's that working out?

We have the government we deserve. Until the majority of citizens in these poverty zones break free of the "we're entitled" attitude, it will be more of the same for at least the next generation. The government's decision to effectively nationalize the financial sector will only compound the problem. We are fucked.

I've said it many times here at GOC: Payoff your debts and get your financial house in order.

Many of us have said for a long time that the shit will eventually hit the fan and the first round of shit missiles have hit the "bulls eye." Greed kills and the chickens are really and truly coming home to roost. Fuck you Wall Street, and Fuck you Washington, DC.

And a hearty "Fuck You" to those entities as well from me! Maybe we should start a "Fuck You" letter campaign ...

Denny.....

I do not think any of these liberal Democrat`s will ever even suspect what you pointed out. It is the same message as I posted for Abe Lincolns word`s which set off a shitstorm with DanS in his lies,lies, all lies tirade.

Add Erie Pa. to the list of Democratic mayors in perpetuity,actually since about 1962. When the last Republican was a mayor, Erie had 137,000 residents in the city , we now have 101,000. Since that time we have lost at least 10 major industries...the answer so far has been to encourage Tourism, Festivals & event`s which draw the low life`s from the entire Eastern half of the country.
The City is no longer financially sound & is teetering of the verge of a state take over & the vast majority of our youth is leaving town as fast as they can. Our claim to fame is Tom Ridge , boy are we f--ked!

The sad thing is ....every election the Democrats are elected or re-elected on a record of Democratic progress. I wonder if the Indians would buy the town back for about 24 dollers in bead`s & thing`s.

Dudley1, you have just discribed the state that I live in. It's called Illinois. It'll be scary if Obama gets to do to the rest of the country, what he has done for Illinois.

If these democrat led cities are so bad, why haven't any of them imploded?
^^Slaps forehead^^
Federal earmarks keep bailing them out.

Since property taxes are part of what prop up these sick institutions, maybe the ones who get to vote should be the property owners. Votes aligned with property values, one vote for ever thousand of valuation.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are TWO foundation documents for this country, not one. The Declaration of Independence and the constitution. Without the declaration, we are but a rogue colony of the Brits, and with out the constitution, we are but rogues.
That said, part of the gripe when we broke relations with the Brits was taxation without representation. Time to get it back where it belongs. I'd bet the policies of governments would change in one hell of a hurry if that happened.

I don't have much use for a lot of what Charles Barkley says, but once in a while he comes up with a gem. Here are two that fit this thread (easy to Google):

"Well, when I went off to college, the guys I used to hang with were pumping gas and voting Democrat. Today they're still pumping gas and voting Democrat. Guess the Democrats didn't do much for them."

"Poor People have been voting for Democrats for the last 50 years,........and they are still poor." ~ Charles Barkley

Cincinnati, OH (3rd)...since 1984;

Cleveland, OH (4th)...since 1989;

This just goes to show you how efficient Ohio Democrats are at fucking things up.

You hear that, Dennis Kucinich? I'm talking to you!

Not that I doubt you, SRF, but it would help me out when I deal with my hippy-lib friends if I could get a link to a source for these poor city/dem mayor stats.

Otherwise, I'd just throw out un-sourced data like the MSM, and I'd fall on my sword first.

I forgot. As a good capitalist, I offer you this remuneration for your linkage. It is, thus far this year, the funniest video of which I am aware. If you've already seen it, I also have a link to a pretty funny squirrel fight up my sleeve.

Pallidbust, if you fall on your sword could you at least have someone film it and post it on youtube? That would be some entertaining shit.

Detroit has gotten so bad family members are moving their dead out of the cemeteries.

Dee-Troyt's dilemma would be hilarious if it wasn't true. Who could have dreamed up Kwame, the Nation's 1st Hip Hop Thug-erm, Mayor ?
