So many people have sent me an op-ed by Tom Adkins titled The End of White Guilt.
Look at my fellow conservatives! There they go, glumly shuffling along, depressed by the election aftermath. Not me. I'm virtually euphoric.Don't get me wrong. I'm not thrilled with America's flirtation with neo-socialism.. But there's a massive silver lining in those magical clouds that lofted Barack Obama to the Presidency. For today, without a shred of intellectually legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America: The Era of White Guilt is over.
This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast majority of white Americans didn't give a fluff about skin color, and enthusiastically pulled the voting lever for a black man. Not just any black man. A very liberal black man who spent his early career race-hustling banks, praying in a racist church for 20 years, and actively worked with America-hating domestic terrorists. Wow! Some resume! Yet they made Barack Obama their leader. Therefore, as of November 4th, 2008, white guilt is dead.

My reply has always been, "If only". As long as there are RWPPs like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and the white liberals who support them we will always have white guilt. Over the next four years, criticism of Jug Hussein Ears by conservatives will be branded as racist and "white guilt" liberals will be the ones screaming the loudest.
Nope white guilt is still alive and well and we still have people trying to take advantage of it as noted by Rivrdog (whom I met last year on my Wild Wild West Tour.).
He was talking about the auto dealerships all over the country, and what a disaster it would be if they all, or even some of them, had to close because of the failure of any of the Big Three.He seemed to think a little deeper than his fellow Representatives though, because he proposed a plan to take a "small" amount of money, a billion dollars, and set it aside in a fund to aid dealerships in trouble because of the Big Three meltdown.
I was just about to yell "Way to Go!", when he revealed the real purpose of his plan.
Applications for the money should have priorities, he said, and it should first be available to minority-owned dealerships before others. He said something like "it took so long to get these minority dealerships going that it would be a shame to see them fail."
This is simply the politics of race, and this Representative is doing nothing less than attempting a back-door Slavery Reparations scheme. Is it the only one to be tried, or is it the first of many?
All during the just-concluded campaign, Obama told us that race does not matter anymore, so what is the President-elect going to do about this Representative (I'm assuming he is a Democrat who has to answer to the Democratic Party leadership)?
"Race doesn't matter anymore." BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That goes right up there with the three most often broken promises:
1. I'm gonna quit smoking.
2. Of course I'll respect you in the morning.
3. I promise I won't *** in your mouth.
"Race doesn't matter anymore." Yeah. That ranks up there with Clinton's promised middle class tax cut. And all of you JHE supporters who are expecting a tax cut? Sorry dudes and dudettes. Ain't gonna happen. I expect JHE, just like Clinton, to break his promise and raise taxes.
And JHE ain't gonna pay your mortgage and put gas in your car either.

Then it was over again when Colin Powell was appointed Secretary of State. Then it was over yet again with Conde Rice. But wait, I thought it was over years before any of those events, - when ML King was given his own Federal holiday at the expense of Washington & Lincoln. I thought White Guilt was transcended when we appointed a Black man head of Fannie Mae. Or was it the head of Merrill Lynch, or Symantec? Or American Express? Or was it election of Senator Edward Brooke back in the 1950s? or Adam Clayton Powell Jr. in the 1950s? Or was it Thurgood Marshall going to the Supreme Court?
Because White Guilt is metaphysical, (and also a very practical tool for Black folk) it will never be over. Not so long as there is a single remaining White sucker who can be guilt-tripped out of a single cigarette, and there is a single Black man who wants a smoke.

It should be required reading in all black studies.
It would open a lot of eyes as to why many blacks have the culture they have and how that culture has been thrust upon the country at large.
So, what would happen if they took a portion of that $700 billion bailout money and gave a $1 million each to the 30 or so million working people?
It obviously wouldn't help the banks because first thing I'd do is pay off the fucking mortage. Second is buy a sailboat and blow this fucking pop stand.

I have never for a second felt 'white guilt'...anything the west has supposedly done to the rest of the world is vastly outweighed by the myriad benefits of our industry and inventivness. When slavery existed my family died from starvation in Ireland as we had no monetary value..unlike a slave...do I complain..fuck no!

And the sad part is that so many of them don't respect that deprivation of their fore fathers and refuse to do anythying to pick themselves up and use the opportunities thay have for anything other than to collect handouts.
