Chambliss Wins

Saxby Chambliss won the runoff for his Senate seat here in Georgia. I guess it was too much work for the Dims to round up welfare leeches and homeless people again this close to the last election.

This is a pretty big deal. Its a big speed bump on the road to socialism. Hope its enough.

Reverse racism at it's finest. No "person of color" to vote for, so the "people of color" sat this one out. One of the local new shows yesterday didn't have specific numbers but said the numbers of black voters in yesterday's election was exponentially lower than last months election. Both in total volume and proportion to white voters. We now have a Halfrican President as of January because of his skin color. I can not believe this country.

So Grouchy, what about a comment on Bush admitting he was not prepared to the war, that the mass destruction weapon was a crap and Hussein was not that bad (but its petrol was too attractive)?

I'd really like to read your, interesting point!

Posted by: thor on December 3, 2008 07:54 AM

So Thor (whoever you might be), I went back and reread the interview and watched the footage before addressing your moronic comment above, and you and I must have different sources. No where does it say that "Hussein was not that bad", no where does it say that "Petrol was too attractive" and no where does it say the mass destruction weapon was crap. It stated the intelligence on the mass destruction weapon was flawed. You seem to be reading a lot more (aka lib/dim/socialist speak for making shit up to fit their agenda) into the interview than there actually was. I'm still trying to figure out how anti-war morons use the weapons of mass destruction argument when both parties knew/agreed he had them as well as just about every major player nation in the arena. Flawed intelligent-maybe. But the right thing to do since he violated multiple UN sanctions after surrendering in a war he started, you bet. Now crawl back under your rock.

My memory must be corrupted. I remember September 11, 2001 and the pledges for the next few weeks by the Democrats to support the war. I also remember when the Democrats began to undermine the war effort by calling for early withdrawal, accusing our troops of war crimes, declaring the war lost, claiming that there was no effort to find and kill OBL because we were also engaged in Iraq and dealing with Iran.
And now, I want thank Georgia, the Senate may actually remain a place for debate and not be a steam-roller.

Posted by: Jim Macklin on December 3, 2008 08:50 AM

Surely, the Democrats will find several hundred thousand "missing" votes to help them, as Franken is trying in Minnesota.

I am constantly amazed by the sense of entitlement that libs strap on each morning. The blithering idiots that think CNN on the beach with 10 million candle watts lighting up a SEAL landing is informative while sensible folks worry for their safety. There are places where the media and civilians just don't belong and there are things that our government knows and does that we don't need to be a part of. I'm not advocating closed government, I am just saying that there is no way for the Average Joe to know the Big Picture, we simply do not have all the facts - and for good reason.

I think history will eventually reveal the intricacies of the Iraq war - the importance of the WMD, the who and how they came to be. Many with military backgrounds can remember a time or two when they knew more than the general public and appreciate that some secrets are kept to protect much bigger interests. Those are the people, Thor, who are deployed around the world to preserve the priveleges you enjoy. For God's sake, do them proud and form a cohesive opinion of your own and stop regurgitating DailyKos bullshit.

For some reason Mrs Bush felt the need to reject a special xmas ornamant

Hmm , why might that be?

Ah Denny, you live there but spend to little time with the masses. (Their smell maybe?) It was that they had not all made bail from the post selection party and the local jailers wouldn't take them to the polls. (although they may have offered to take them to the poles, one way ticket and such.)
The rest of the crew were still hiding until the statute of limitations runs out in two years.
Seriously though, the third party spoiler was a libertarian, and how many of those voters do you think would vote liberal? One? Naw, not that many.
Glad you all got that settled and over with out the drama like Minnesota has now.

Bill, loved your link, the only balls the dems have.
Denny, on second thought, don't count Martin out yet, its close enough they may try a steal, under 15%. They learned the trade in Washington state, and are perfecting it in Minnesota.

Posted by: Jeremy on December 3, 2008 10:47 AM

Regarding Bill's link, not only is that the only balls dems have, but notice there's only one.

Liberals need to pull their heads out of their collective asses on this whole WMD thing. If they go back to Pres. Bush's speech to the UN in Oct. 2002, they'll see that WMD was only one of several reasons Pres. Bush used as to why Hussein needed to be deposed, by force if necessary as per UN resolutions. But the boot-licking liberals worthless flunkies in the UN were too busy stuffing their pockets with Hussein's bribe money (something the left conveniently ignores) to give a rat's ass.

thor - Before commenting on this site again, please read The Rules. I don't like trolls and I don't like people who go off topic and try to hijack threads. The only person who has that privilege is DanS (He's like the crazy old uncle you lock up in the attic so I cut him some slack) and I even get on him about it. In the meantime, GFY!

Ray - What we have here is our first affirmative action president. No accomplishments other than being half black. We are so screwed!

Posted by: Denny on December 3, 2008 11:50 AM

Whoa, having a bad day. Going off on thor like that.

I suppose you get mad at retarded people too.

Chambliss is a fucking Rino. Still better than a Dim, but RINO nonetheless.

They still will get many of the 60 votes because of so many of the RINOs (dem lites)in congress.

Even though I HAD to vote for him, McCain is still out there being the asshole he is.

He had the gaul to visit India nad tell them to use restraint towards Pakistan. Who the fuck is he?

They need to locate Pakistan's nuclear arsenals, pinpoint bomb them, then nuke the Waristan regions and every other region that harbors Islamic terror bastards.

Ummmmmm........I just love the smell of nuked Islamic bastards in the morning.

Sorry, I went off topic too - I have ADD and CRS.

Speaking of Al Gore and Global Warming -

This is the first time we have ever been bulled by a gore.

Denny - where are the rules?

Rules - nevermind, found them.

Funny, but true.

Bill: I checked out your link thinking it was maybe an Obama ornament - they surely do exist. I found many Obama ornaments in all their gag-arific forms. And I was thinking you'd have to be pretty deranged to want one one your Christmas tree. Then I found this comment that made me snort my eggnog:

With the newly elected President Obama, and the coming of the Christmas season, I have a great idea. I m making Barack Obama Christmas tree ornaments, because God Damn...if that man doesnt look just great hanging from a tree!!

Ray - What we have here is our first affirmative action president. No accomplishments other than being half black. We are so screwed!

I'm black and I agree with you, Denny. I gave a look at his resume...he did NOTHING for the folks (esp blacks) when he represented Southside Chicago. When he did (housing) he let it go to pot. People even protested his office. This would have stung him if he were completely white. If he could not take care of that little piece of land, how the &*(^ is he going to take care of the US?

He is a token president who is having his hand held. I doubt I will ever believe he is the one actually running things.

Also, say what you want about W, but he always took responsiblity. He could have easily thrown Cheney and Rumsfeld under bus by blaming them for all of the bad/unpopular decisions, but he did not. I may have not voted for the man, but he gets props for being accountable.

Denny, RAFE isn't half black, he is 1/16th black, 7/16ths Arab, and half pink neck.
Afirmative action he is. I remember when I was in manufacturing and they needed another foreman. Since all the foremen they had were white, no one was suprised when they narrowed the field to three blacks and one white. In the end, it was one of the blacks that got it.
Of the blacks, one was a Sr NCO in a nearby national guard unit. He was a man who took quality seriously, got along well with others, worked his share and then some of over time, and was never cross or angry to anyone.
The second black was a former Army NCO retired. a hard and dedicated worker and one whom we could count on to lend a hand in any situation.
The third guy was an alcoholic. He regularly came to work drunk and had to be sent home because he was in no shape to be arround equipment, often being unable to stand (he worked evening shift). He shirked overtime, would whine if asked to help outside his department, or even in his department if not his assigned machine. He was slow, and his quality was among the worst in the plant.
Guess who got the nod.
In his first six months, he was too drunk to work eleven or more times. I found numerous bottles of cheap alcohol hidden in the warehouse near his department, and two in the front office area. Beef Eater Gin was his favorite. After turning in two bottles, I took a diffrent tack, pissed in them and returned them to their hiddy hole.
The other two foremen on his shift told me that it was no diffrent with him vs without him. His people quit asking him questions, and asked Billy and Phlip instead.
One Friday when I was working on his shift, we shut down the plant at midnight, and quietly left. He was asleep in the lab, in an area with limited access.
When we came in for maint work at 8 saturday morning, his car was still in the lot.
Yup, the asshat still has his job.

Rachel you give me hope. The easiest thing for bush to do would have been to have someone "find" some planted wmd. did not happen. He is a stand up guy.

two thoughts on Obama's latest goings on:

1. Hillary will be a catastrophe at SOS. Rembember how Obama got traction in a campaign that everyone thought was a Hillary run away: The Clinton's lie. They lie all the time. They lie with impunity. This was what David Geffen the gayhollywood lib said..

2. Listen to him and watch him on the Iraq war. His latest stand is that he will listen to the generals as to when to pull troops out.....exactly how is that different the Chimpy? hows that shit have gone over in the primaries. what if he turns out to govern from the center? whats up with keeping Gates? I love it but do you think Operation Pink is feeling all warm and fuzzy? could be interesting.
