Sure, just because North Americal and Europe are
running 10 to 20 degrees below normal this winter,
Your going to take a cheap shot at Al Gore.

Yes we're in the "Un-Warming" phase of the year.
Wait until May, June, July and August.

Mock "Global Warming" and Al Gore then.

Pete, you're an idiot.

Looks like somebody removed Charlton Heston's rifle.
Still that seems to be the only inaccurate thing.
Actually climate change is happening but it is Solar System change, maybe the Sun has something to do with it?

LisaKay - Pete was being sarcastic.

AlGore.......

Actually the Goracle did not give me anything for Christmas....apparently he feels the pain in my ass he has given me for years is sufficient.

Denny,

Ref LisaKay;

We here at INGSOC, Oceania, appreciate your intervention. However before we accuse LisaKay of "Crimethink" we would like to bring her up to date on "Newspeak".

In "Oldspeak" They would describe the annual warming and cooling phases of the two hemispheres as a result of the axial tilt of the globe during it's regular orbit aroun the sun.

That's a lot of words for something that happens every year. So let's just drop the whole axial tilt and orbit around the sun.

Now we're down to something usable. The annual warming and cooling phases of the two hemispheres of the globe. We all know there are two hemispheres of the globe so why refer to it?

Oh and "warming", "cooling" are counter productive terms. Let's go with "warming", "unwarming".

Now, Newspeak has simplified it to "Annual Global Warming and Unwarming". Why stop there?

Annual is a predetermined time phase and need not
be refered to. Details of the phase are not neccessary in dialog, so we can drop the "Unwarming".

We now have "Global Warming". Something we're very proud of here at INGSOC.

A peek into the the future: We are working on replacing "Global" with "THE" and "UNTHE" Doubleplusgood, hey?

PS,

Ingsoc (English Socialism), Oceania, "Oldspeak",
"Newspeak",and "un{anything} are the product of
the prophetic mind of George Orwell, author of 1984.

And yes we at Ingsoc did reduce every political issue,(cause and solution), to a single word:
"Change". It said it all. And it won.
