It looks like President Obama hasn't gotten acquainted to his White House surroundings. On the way back to the Oval Office Tuesday, the President approached a paned window, instead of the actual door -- located a few feet to his right.Doors didn't open automatically for Obama’s predecessor either. While making a hasty exit from a 2005 press conference in Beijing, former President George W. Bush tugged on the handles of a door, only to find it locked.
Bush laughed off the blunder, but the pictures still live on as part of Bush's lame duck legacy. However, there was little note taken of Obama's rookie mistake.
I won't expect to see this on Letterman or The Daily Show.
Yeap...and this guy is driving. We're in deep shit.

Bad news here in Seattle. Layoffs: Microsoft, Boeing, Starbucks, Weyerhaeuser, PACCAR. The Boeing and PACCAR layoffs will especially hurt because both of those companies have very large manufacturing and research facilities up here. The Microsoft will really hurt because that company drives our information technology sector and those are very high paying jobs. Our local economy depends heavily on these companies. Our local unemployment rate now resembles or exceeds the national average. Historically, Seattle employment is stronger than the national average so our current unemployment rate trend is signaling some very very deep trouble for this country, and especially for Washington State.
But hey, Washington, DC could care less about the private sector! Never mind the fact that the private sector FUNDS the public sector! People need to wake the hell up. This government is driving us into the dirt.

I'm for the latter, because when this thing tanks, which it invariably will, I want my party to be able to say, we were too smart to fall for this debacle and steered clear of it. Come 2012, the only Democrat in govt will be the magical negro.

Washington DC......Obama has given a thumbs up for the planned fairness in broadcasting doctrine proposal intended to muzzle or eliminate Rush Limbaugh & others.Seem`s to me we were warned about this prior to the election but it was denied. This is supposed to be introduced shortly.
Washington DC.....The proposed Workers right to work proposal soon to be introduced will include open voting for union representation without a privacy clause to protect the individual worker from union thug retribution. Yet another we were warned about.
Washington DC....Obama anounced he wants a ban on space weapons & systems, this after we have demonstrated some real progress for success & near term initial deployments. Hell it would not be fair of us to insulate ourselves from global catastrophe.
There is far more brewing on the horizen.....pay attention , it is not going to be pretty.
Apparently, Paul and Teh One have the same problem: seeing a wide-framed, two-pane-across window and thinking it's a narrow-framed, three-pane-across door with visible hinges. Of course, in Teh One's case, 'this was not the door I remember'.
