I'm just guessing here, but I suppose they would be against GW.

Thats kind of creepy they look so life like

Posted by: dancingbear1564 on February 3, 2009 10:20 AM

They are of in search of AlGore as they are freezing their balls off.

Posted by: Jeremy on February 3, 2009 11:02 AM

That's great!

Posted by: Tina on February 3, 2009 11:08 AM

That's excellent!

Posted by: Greg on February 3, 2009 11:09 AM

Looks like something from Calvin and Hobbes !

Posted by: Angie on February 3, 2009 11:22 AM

They are all very nice, but behind the humoristic picture, I don't understand the meaning of GW bashing. Denny, I believe you are un intelligent person, and I just can't understand how you can confuse between global warming (I'd like to say global warning), and local freezing. Or you want to say as LOUIS XV : "après moi le déluge".

Posted by: EMIL on February 3, 2009 11:37 AM

I was at that meeting. I didn't know a picture was taken. I arrived a bit late. You'll see me at the upper left, near the fence. It was freezing. I nearly turned into a block of ice. I thought if it would be bloody warming, I would start melting and lose my roundness. No chance of that ever happening...

Même un déluge serait bienvenu!

Emil - It's very simple. AGW is based on junk science. If you believe in it, you're an idiot!

1. We are entering a global cooling phase. Five years from now, you're gonna realize what a scam AGW is.
2. Man has absolutely nothing to do with climate change. See that big ball up in the sky? Yannow, the sun? That's what controls the weather.

BTW, don't insult the host of this site, or I will be forced to have some fun with you. In the meantime, GFY!

Posted by: Denny on February 3, 2009 01:52 PM

EMIL: Of course we all understand the difference between climate and daily weather! However, you have to add the daily weather stats into the cumulative stack of data, don't you? ;)

The problem is, many of us think that global warming is bogus. The number of us who think that anthropogenic global warming is bogus is even greater. It is easy to be skeptical when the global warming argument is weak, and when there are obvious reasons for anti capitalists to push a global warming agenda. Although there is a bunch of contrary information out there, the two pieces that stick out for me are these:

1) The other unoccupied planets in the solar system are warming. If global warming is occurring, then it seems likely that there is an external source .... whaddaya think, the sun maybe?

2) The computer models used to predict climate change are faulty. When they have been used to analyze data to predict past climates, they have been inaccurate. So what would make them any more reliable in projecting future climate change?

Perhaps you should ask yourself why you are so willing to accept what the media feed you. At least some Europeans take global warming with a sensible dose of cynicism.

Emil.....

You apparently still buy into the Global Warming fairy tale as put forth by the leftwing Enviro-moonbats.I won`t even go into the fact more & more scientist`s have jumped off the Global warming bandwagon as being caused by man, or that world temperatures have retreated to mid 1990`, levels with further reductions anticipated.

I`ll just pose you one question.......Since global warming is being blamed for an assumed rise in sea level for up to 3 feet in 100yr`s. What is the normal sea level supposed to be ? Three feet more then now, what we have now or perhaps somewhere down toward the 200/300 feet lower it was at the height of the last ice age.

You see there is not a normal sea level , just as there is not a normal temperature. Climate change/global warming is natural to the earth`s cycle.Everything posed as evidence of global warming is not justifiable , at least as being the responsibility of mankind. Every temperature extreme, sea level change ,carbon dioxide content in the atmosphere which are cited as proof have occurred many times in the past prior to we even being here.

This being the real truth, common sense would dictate to reasonable people that attempt`s to blame Mankind are hogwash, a lie, a scheme to make money from gullible people.

I`ll tell you what is real, climate change ....it happen`s every day with change usually gradual over time but it can happen quickly. what is important is the ability to adapt to change as the likelihood for planetary climate control & modification is far beyond our capability.

All species on this earth have been faced with inevitable climate or environmental change, this is why 99% of all species ever to have evolved are extinct. The ability to adapt is essential for a specie`s continuity, this is what is important , this is what we should concentrate our effort`s on rather then some Bullshit guilt trip of blaming ourselves for what is natural in occurence.

EMIL: There are knowledgeable people within the scientific community that say it is a hoax. The man that told Al Gore about GW is now being outed by his former supervisor. The models are inaccurate and the scientists manipulated the observed data to justify the model results. Read about it for yourself at the links below, if you dare. Scientists who don't follow their own rules for scientific experimentation are not scientists and not to be trusted. And more and more scientist are coming out everyday debunking the myths. Do some educational reading on your own and stop believing everything you hear and read in the MSM. All they want are sheep. You may need to copy and paste, sorry about the long links.

One good thing that happens, when we have a fool like Emil visiting, is that solid comments are offered on the Global Warming Fairy Tale. I print every one of them. It helps me a lot, as none of the people, who argue the point with me, ever believe that we (young and old) are freezing, more and more, every winter, in Toronto, and we didn't 15 years ago....

Posted by: Claudia on February 3, 2009 02:44 PM

They're waiting for the snow blower.

Posted by: thatjerryguy on February 3, 2009 04:32 PM

Hey, thats just us up here in MN watching the Winter Carnival Parade. No big whoop. ;)

Posted by: LisaKay on February 3, 2009 05:52 PM

Snowblower for Thatjerryguy.

Emil, the weather man can't predict the weather a couple days from now. How do you think he can predict what it will be in five years?

Posted by: Daryl on February 3, 2009 06:16 PM

A few of them look hot under the collar

Posted by: Darrell on February 3, 2009 08:57 PM

There's some global warming here at Fort Knox too. Today when we ran P.T. it was 9. I thought my lungs were gonna freeze!

Posted by: SSG Dave Wallach on February 3, 2009 09:39 PM

Claudia - vous êtes belle là ! pourquoi un deluge est bienvenu ? vous voudriez nager cet hiver ? même l'idée me fait froid ! [to everyone else, sorry, but i gotta pracitce french every now and then in case i run into john kerry.]

PeggyU - the czech republic is a center of sanity in that crazy socialist country of europe.

Daryl - i didn't need to see that (but i did laugh!).

SSG Dave Wallach - i try not to run when it is colder than 40. but 9 -- ouch. anyway, thank you for your service.

Posted by: Pip on February 3, 2009 10:54 PM

Pip - Maybe if there is a flood, BozObama would visit.

Posted by: Denny on February 3, 2009 11:25 PM

Pip -

Je voulais rire d'Émil...when he said about Denny, "As Louis XV: Après moi, le déluge!" Même avec le froid, il va falloir nager! The crazy nuts are saying that the icecaps are melting. It's moving towards here. That's why we're freezing!

Denny parle français aussi.

Emil & Localized Cooling......

Cooling is now localized in the entire Northern half of the Planet clear around the world with the southern half following suit.Probably the Zebras in Africa will lose their black strip`s & adopt their winter coat of pure white.

We are lucky that Cooling is only localized. Global Warming my cold aching Ass.

Posted by: dudley1 on February 4, 2009 08:38 AM

Emil- my comment is probably un-necessary at this point, as others have already covered the main points, but perhaps if you're interested in expanding your education into the study of climate, you'd like to check into the El Nino and La Nina (sorry, don't know how to add the tilde) that've affected the West Coast for many centuries.
I believe that at one time the alarmists blamed these currents for the drought of the Seventies and the Ice Age that was to've turned North America into a giant glacier by now.

Daryl,

Thanks. I think.

Denny, i doubt Pres Obama would visit: i don't see a minority in the crowd.

Emil.....

Here is a little something you can do with your local weather records.

1. Take your individual day records for coldest & hottest "366 total" counting Feb 29. Compile one group for cold & hot before 1950 & a second group after 1950. What I found was 53% of the hottest days were before 1950 with 47% after 1950. Then I found 35% of the coldest days were before 1950 with 65% after 1950.
2. Then do it by months...take the top ten coldest & warmest of each month "120 total" & group them the same way . I found 57% of the hottest months were before 1950 with 43% after 1950. Then for the coldest months I found 42% were before 1950 & 58% after 1950.

This is a simple way to check locally how well you conform to the Global Warming belief......Here it was just the opposite of what you should find if Global Warming was correct. It may not be scientific but it does measure local reality.

Looks like Obama voters that just got hit with the reality of who they voted into office. Frozen and stunned.

What I can't get over is the amount of these little folk and the work it took to create 'em!! Must've been done at a Global Change party, sacrificing them to the Warming gods.....

Posted by: Chappy on February 5, 2009 01:13 PM

dudley1 -

carefull, you keep throwing logic at the question and you'll confuse him. not to mention that he'll just use it to justify the envirocialist (socialmentalist??) latest "climate change" bs.

besides, don't forget that your data doesn't fit the "hockey stick" and therefore must be discarded.

Posted by: Pip on February 5, 2009 08:32 PM

SSG Wallach:
Global cooling IS happening. Proof:
I took Basic at Knox in 1972 in January. It was only in the low 20's. So there's exploding the AGW myth!
Gaackk... I caught pneumonia twice there and was held over a cycle due to too much time in the hospital...
