Since I went back to 60's British rock last week, let's continue with Cream.
Posted by denny at March 8, 2009 12:00 AMCream's reunion DVD is TOTALLY worth the $. Old guys with talent still kick ass. Oh, and Clapton? Hasn't lost a lick. I was surprised Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker were still in form - I'd buy $$ tix

Thanks Denny - I was actually there. What a night to remember. If Only I could have gone (and afforded the tickets) to the Albert Hall reunion....
I first went to the US (well sort of, it was Rhode Island) as high school kid on an exchange, when I was 18, in 1966. My host took me to a 'head shop' to show off and they were playing Cream. So I said 'you mean Cream are over here too?' The guys in the shop were blown away that I knew this 'new group'- big 'face' for me and showed up my arrogant host. Nice.
My kids (now 28 & 26) were brought up on this and really do apreciate it and tell me they have it on their 'i-pods' whatever those are.....

Posted by: Ralph Gizzip on March 8, 2009 02:27 PMRalph, right on! For those of you looking for a boxset that's worth the money, I highly recommend the Eric Clapton "Crossroads" set. It's got everything you would expect from an Eric Clapton "best of" + rare gems from Yardbirds, Derek & the Dominos, collaborations with John Mayall, Blind Faith, and some Cream classics. Cool packaging, too.
