PeggyU sent me this.
Love it when our servicemen have a sense of humor.
Posted by denny at May 5, 2009 12:58 PMI believe that these troops are Danish or Norwegian.
Posted by: GeorgeD on May 5, 2009 04:19 PMJust gotta love it. Ever see three Marines racing kids tricycles? PRICELESS!!
Posted by: Ric on May 5, 2009 05:30 PMAn oldie but goodie. Danish troops.
Posted by: emdfl on May 5, 2009 09:44 PMMaybe Danish troops, but a Norwegian flag at the beginning, so... probably Norwegian troops.
Posted by: strong_epoxy on May 6, 2009 12:01 AMNorwegians, Danes, Germans, Poles????? Maybe
However, according to my diversity chart they ain't:
1) African/Jamacian-Americans.
2) Asian-Americans.
3) Native Americans.
4) I.B.M. Executives.

Posted by: Toejam on May 6, 2009 12:27 AMExcellent. Great idea.
Posted by: Felonious Monk on May 6, 2009 12:45 AMThe guys in the trenchs always retain a good sence of humor. otherwise they go nuts. Especially with rules of engagement like we so often have.
The unofficial motto of troops everywhere:
We the unwilling led by the unknowing have been doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much for so long with so little that we now can do anything with nothing.
Clinton heard it, and thought it was the truth. Based on that assumption he slashed our military budget. How long until Barry the imposer does the same thing?
The guys are Norwegian from the Telemark Battalion. The shoulder patch is a Norsk viking ship under sail. They have been in Afghanistan since 2004.
The lyrics were written by an antiwar DJ Bob Rivers of Seattle (whoda thunk it?)
The video prompted the Norwegian ambassador to formally apologise.
Politicks just can't handle humor.
BTW, your link is #9 for kosovo beach boys on yahoo search.
The video was shot in the Balkans c.2001. It was in circulation by 2003.
Cheers
Posted by: J.M. Heinrichs on May 6, 2009 06:58 PMThey are Norwegian; I am not sure when the vido was made, but you can clearly see the CORMAC containers being used as housing, so that means at least some of this was made at Film City in Pristina...definitely early 2000's. I got into a shitload of trouble for e-mailing this video to friends using the Camp Bondsteel e-mail server. Don't want to piss off the Serbs you know...
