Great post. I'm sorry I missed it before. She sounds like a heck of a lady. We should all aspire to live like that.

Thank you for the post. A moving tribute to an exceptional mother. She was very successful in passing on her heart and qualities to her children.

Denny, that was a great post! I would've really enjoyed knowing your mother. I hope when I am in my 60s, I'm still mountain biking and rafting. :-) Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there today. My boys are taking care of me today, so I must get back.

I read this every year with the same result ....to remember my mother & her passing. My older sister & myself were with her at her bedside when she left this earth.....still did not make up for all I could & should have said down through the years.
My mother used to call almost everyday to say Hi!
Even now almost 20 years since that day I still look at my phone & wish it would ring just one more time................Damn! Just Damn! Gotta go!

My first mothers day without mom was not that bad. I think my dad had a harder day than I did though. He had pink carnations (her favorite flower) by her ashes yesterday and today was kinda quiet at lunch. 9 months seems so long ago but it seems like yesterday at the same time. Strange.

I remember it from five years ago Denny. Thanks for five years of GOC.
