The current AF One color scheme was designed in the early 1960s by Raymond Loewy for the then-current 707 which served as AF One. He was an industrial designer who is best remembered today for designing the beautiful 1953 Studebaker coupe'. It is a testament to his genius that the design works as well on the much larger 747 as it did on the 707.
