I just love this.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY -- Millions of Americans on Social Security are receiving $250 checks as part of the president's stimulus plan -- including an Anne Arundel woman who died more than 40 years ago.The woman's son, 83-year-old James Hagner, said he got the surprise when he checked his mailbox late last week.
"It shocked me and I laughed all at the same time," Hagner said. "I don't even expect to get one my own self, and I get one for my mother for 43 years ago?"
As Mike, who sent me this link said, "She probably voted for (JHE) him. She should get a check.

Posted by: Claudia on May 12, 2009 03:04 PMOne just has to know that her SS# is being used by an illegal. How else can they awaken a number that has been dead that long.
Posted by: gene on May 12, 2009 04:23 PMThat's about as bad as the IRS calling my sister's house to inform my Dad he had a court hearing scheduled for not paying his income tax,,,2 years after he had died!
Posted by: Michele on May 12, 2009 07:17 PMEvery one of the dead social security numbers in Cook County is going in the kenyan's account.
Posted by: fubar on May 12, 2009 07:32 PMWe're talking about the Democratic People's Republic of Maryland here, folks. *Of course* the dead person voted for The One, or has had her SSN hijacked by an illegal alien. That's the same state that willingly issues driver's licenses to illegals...and actually had a debate about whether or not to continue doing so.
Idiots.
Posted by: Grumpy Old Ham on May 12, 2009 09:47 PMHey, both my wife and I have been advised that this huge amount will be deposited in each our bank accounts at the end of May.
I haven't decided if I should spent it wisely on food or buy a tank of gasoline....

The huge amount you are depositing.....Some of the information I have received is the Government will require you to repay one of those stimulus payments next year at tax time.It is being said the Government made a mistake in that jointly filed tax returns are entitled to only one stimulus check. If this information is true,a whole lot of people are going to be upset with the Messiah.
Also you might want to check with your employer as to how much you are having deducted from your pay for income taxes because new tax withholding tables have been put in place & most worker`s will get a nasty surprise next April when they find they owe money instead of any refund.
dudley, you are dead on correct from what I am hearing. forget the vacations, and Christmas gifts this year. Store it away for 4/15. It's too bad all of those people who work so hard at keeping their jobs during these tough times are going to get railroaded on their checks AND at tax time. Hope. Change. Raping you on your taxes.

Posted by: thatjerryguy on May 14, 2009 09:37 AMGood thing it is only about 2.5 million dollars being sent to the deceased. I wonder how many will be cashed? And they wonder why the government is in the shape it is in...go figure!
