History will be kind to GWB because of Hussein.

Posted by: hammer on July 22, 2009 05:14 PM

History would have been kind to GWB anyway, but it will make him look like Albert Einstein and Winston Churchill because of BHO.

Posted by: KarlU on July 22, 2009 06:02 PM

Never mind "HISTORY"! Today's ordinary people already know that Dubya was not appreciated enough when he was at the helm.

Posted by: Claudia on July 22, 2009 07:13 PM

I hate to disagree with you Claude, but I just watched the news and the "ordinary people" need a map to go to the can.

That makes us...extraordinary. I'm ok with that.

Got this in e-mail tonite -- no idea of source:

Washington, DC -- July 21, 2009

Congress today announced that the office of President of the United States of America will be outsourced to India as of September 1, 2009. The move is being made in order to save the President's $500,000 yearly salary, and also a record $750 billion in deficit expenditures and related overhead that his office has incurred during the last 3 months.

It is anticipated that $7 trillion can be saved to the end of the President's term. "We believe this is a wise financial move. The cost savings are huge," stated Congressman Thomas Reynolds (R-WA). "We cannot remain competitive on the world stage with the current level of cash outlay," Reynolds noted.

Obama was informed by email this morning of his termination. Preparations for the job move have been underway for some time. Gurvinder Singh, a tele-technician for Indus Teleservices, Mumbai, India will assume the office of President as of September 1, 2009. Mr. Singh was born in the United States while his Indian parents were vacationing at Niagara Falls , NY . Thus making him eligible for the position. He will receive a salary of $320 (USD) a month, but no health coverage or other benefits.

It is believed that Mr. Singh will be able to handle his job responsibilities without a support staff. Due to the time difference between the US and India , he will be working primarily at night. "Working nights will allow me to keep my day job at the Dell Computer call center," stated Mr. Singh in an exclusive interview. "I am excited about this position. I always hoped I would be President."

A Congressional spokesperson noted that while Mr. Singh may not be fully aware of all the issues involved in the office of President, this should not be a problem as Obama had never been familiar with the issues either.

Mr. Singh will rely upon a script tree that will enable him to respond effectively to most topics of concern. Using these canned responses, he can address common concerns without having to understand the underlying issue at all. "We know these scripting tools work," stated the spokesperson.

"Obama has used them successfully for years, with the result that some people actually thought he knew what he was talking about."

Obama will receive health coverage, expenses, and salary until his final day of employment. Following a two-week waiting period, he will be eligible for $140 a week unemployment for 26 weeks. Unfortunately he will not be eligible for Medicaid, as his unemployment benefits will exceed the allowed limit.

Obama has been provided with the outplacement services of Manpower, Inc. to help him write a resume and prepare for his upcoming job transition. According to Manpower, Obama may have difficulties in securing a new position due to a lack of any successful work experience during his lifetime.

A greeter position at WalMart was suggested due to Obama's extensive experience at shaking hands, as well as his special smile

ET - that was one of the funniest things I've read in ages. Thank you. I needed that!

Posted by: John Galt on July 22, 2009 09:28 PM

ET Stick around. That was beautiful.

Posted by: Mickysolo on July 22, 2009 09:42 PM

ET, If only it were true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The way the Komrade Emperor is going, by election time in 2012, very possibly earlier, The Komrade Emperor will be making Jimmy Carter look like a real life president, instead of the clueless boob he actually was. And still is.

was thinking today as thunder thighs let slip that the goal in Iran is nuclear containment... I thought "exactly what was it Bush was wrong about?". I really have no idea.

Posted by: patrick on July 22, 2009 10:44 PM

In retrospect, George Bush was exactly the kind of politician we want, because he made everything sound stupid (even if it was smart), and so we were naturally skeptical. BHO ("big hairy orifice"?) has the gift for making stupid things sound smart, and some people go along even though they ought to know better.

Mickeysolo - ET happens to be Ron whose essays and rants I post periodically.

Posted by: Denny on July 22, 2009 11:10 PM

I don't want our next president apologizing for America, but I won't blame him if he spends the first 6 months of his administration apologizing for the One Big Ass Mistake America made.

Posted by: Felonious Monk on July 23, 2009 01:19 AM

Felonious - 'tis the voters what owes the apology. Or is it the stay-at-homes.......

Posted by: B....... on July 23, 2009 06:52 AM

Maybe that's why pResident BOzo picked Joe Biden for his VP.

Posted by: thatjerryguy on July 23, 2009 09:22 AM

The cartoon was good, but ET's post has to be one of the best pieces I've seen in a couple of weeks.
Denny & Ron, thanks for the laughs.

I love Obama. I would love to perform oral sex on him.

Aren't I hot?

Posted by: Sally on July 23, 2009 10:39 AM

Now thats funny.

Posted by: Ric on July 23, 2009 11:32 AM

No, no it's not. It's nauseating.

Posted by: thatjerryguy on July 23, 2009 11:39 AM

it's a little difficult to claim how history will look at BHO seeing as we're all of 6 mos into his presidency. Since there is no metric by which he could possibly succeed for you people, why even discuss it? What's the point?

Bush will be remembered by, in this nation's darkest post 9/11 hour,
-the time where Americans would come together in service and patriotism
-the time where Americans would be more likely sacrifice for the common good
-the time where Americans (not JUST the troops) would more likely make meaningful sacrifice so that future generations of Americans so that others would not have to experience a tragedy like 9/11 again
-the time where Americans may actually listen to things other than news about Micheal Jackson or Walter Kronkite
Did we get a JFK, Roosevelt, or Reagan moment? No...Bush uttered the famous words not TWO WEEKS after 9/11:

"Get down to Disney World in Florida...Take your families and enjoy life, the way we want it to be enjoyed."

I will never forget that. Imagine if instead of the "Day of infamy" speech, we had Roosevelt say "Go drive Route 66 with your family." In other words, bury your head in the sand and pretend, people. That was the moment that marked the Republican party as a party of fools. And you defend him. Whatever.

If history is kind to Dubya, we are fucked. History may be equally unkind to BHO because he is doing the same thing- not asking Americans to sacrifice anything in any meaningful way. Both insult the intelligence of the American citizenry.

Posted by: wtf on July 23, 2009 11:47 AM

wtf.......

I`ll take your name in vain....WTF is wrong with you....Last time I looked I did not see any bullet holes in anything I own from a drive by terrorist attack or read of any attacks anywhere in the United States.

I will compare that to Obama kissing up to the muslims around the world, destroying long term alliances with our real allies & ongoing attempts to socialize this country.

Maybe you would have been more happy if Bush had rounded up all American citizens of Arabic ancestry & locked them up in detention camps like Roosevelt did or abandoned our allies like JFK did at the Bay of Pigs. Actually what Bush did & stuck with it was to take the war to our enemies in their homelands & keep the home front safe which is a fair approximation of what Reagan would have done.

Sooooooo WTF,You can STFU.....Jerkoffs like you bore the crap out of me.

ET happens to be Ron

Denny! You Plamed Ron! Expect a congressional investigation ...

Posted by: PeggyU on July 23, 2009 12:28 PM

Talkin' Horse and Dudley1 - well said.

WTF - it was a very different war, that took a much lower % of GDP and could effectively be executed without conscription. Think man think.

Posted by: patrick on July 23, 2009 01:59 PM

Typical liberal talk-from-both-sides-of-your-mouth bullshit. Pres. Bush basically told Americans to go on with their lives and not be cowed by those rag-wearing fleabags that attacked us on 9/11. Yet when Pres. Bush took the war to the terrorists, liberal buttfucks like wtf took to the streets protesting America's imperialistic war on innocent moslems. And if that wasn't enough whenever Pres. Bush warned us about possible terrorist plots, the left brushed them aside as nothing more than overblown profiling of innocent moslems. I don't remember liberals treating their hero FDR the same way when he took America to war after we were attacked or when he warned us about spies, saboteurs, and U-boats off our shores.

It amazes me how so many liberals can function with their empty heads shoved so far up their asses.

"Everybody who's out there who has been ginned up about this idea that the Obama administration wants to spend and spend and spend, the fact of the matter is, is that we inherited an enormous deficit, enormous long-term debt projections," he said.

I really thought I hallucinated it, but he said it. I must be drunk, cause I have thought that. Constantly drunk, GINNED UP! Thats me.

Seroiusly, in presidential address to the world he said GINNED UP, and INCENTIVE-IZE ( this one I dont know how many times)

Really presidential POTUS

The reason why Bush said to "go to Disney World" is because people were scared. Remember the tense Super Bowl and everyone worrying about it getting hit? Many people wouldn't go into tall buildings after 9/11 ...

That can not be compared to Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor was an attack on our military, not on the citizens.

In addition it was not on the mainland, so many people couldn't grasp what happened.

People didn't watch the bombing of Pearl Harbor live on TV and watch the ships sink into the ocean. Watching something on TV is much different than reading about it in the newspapers.

So WTF, go F yourself.

The poor libs got nothing. All they talk about is Bush.

the kenyan has us in a multi trillion dollar deficit.

the kenyan has expanded the same war he claimed he would end.

the kenyan has stabbed gay and jewish voters in the back repeatedly.

The kenyan is a race card playing dolt, and so is anyone who voted for the goof.

The kenyans' health plan is still born.

I cry for the little kos kids and the inbred huffington readers.

What will they do?

Hey, wtf, generally when we go trollin' we say ya gotta use live bait, but if you're tryin' to use brains I think your hook's empty. Then again, I've probably seen largemouth bass that seemed to have bigger brains than you've evidenced.
Did GWB do everything right? Nah, neither have I. He made one of the same mistakes LBJ did, in tryin' to run an economy with both guns and butter, and I believe the American public would have felt they were more personally involved in what's happening with our military situation if they'd generally had to make more sacrifices.
The "law enforcement" approach to terrorism sure worked out great after the WTC bombing, didn't it? Oh, maybe you forgot about that, huh? I remember that it took almost no time after 09/11/01 for the fools at moveon.ugh to circle jerk around the intertubz with their online petitions to have our response be one other than military. One of those guys came in to where I work, asking me if I didn't think we should let the courts handle it. Next, he asked if my opinion of GWB was different, once he took us to war, bein' as my daughter was in the Navy. I explained to him that she knew when she joined that the USNavy was part of the military, and she could end up in harm's way. Also, she'd be working on planes that'd likely be dropping bombs on people, and she said she could handle that. In fact, if she'd been in Yemen after the USS Cole bombing, and been armed, I doubt there'd still be anybody alive in that country.
I've sacrificed for our country, my daughter's served, her husband is in the 'Stan. Come to think of it, my older brother retired from the US Chair Force and my father was in both the USArmy and USMC.
I'd ask what you've done, but for some reason I'm just a big enough jerk that I probably wouldn't believe you if you showed me a DD214 and an Honorable Discharge.
Oh, yeah, how's this for a metric by which to judge the current CIC/POTUS? He actually had the lack of respect to tell veterans' organizations that he wanted disabled vets with service connected injuries to have to get private insurance to cover their own treatment. The idea was shot down immediately, but anybody who shows no more respect than that for those who've served and bled for our country just ain't worth the sweat off my balls. I'd been tryin' to give the guy a chance, but that ended it for me.
And I don't think it took a long speech to get across the idea that "you're either with us or against us" when it comes to fighting terrorists.
Okay, gang, I'm climbin' down off my soap box, now. Sorry to've ranted so long and fed the troll, but there's only so much I can stand.

Common Sense.....

The leftwing asshats call those of us who question the citizenship of Obama "BIRTHER`S" because a paper stating he was born in Hawaii was furnished thus they believe this answers the question.

However! the reality is no legitimate birth certificate was ever furnished. Now if you were to apply for a Passport & furnished a BS piece of paper as did Obama......you would be refused as the law requires a certified copy of your original birth certificate.

My question`s are this ....Which instance is covered by a constitutional requirement for being a native born citizen? Which in the opinion of most people is the most important to ascertain validity for? Do you feel comfortable with the very real possibility Obama has illegally assumed the Presidency?

I happen to believe when someone refuses a simple request for verification, chances are they have something to hide. It is a shame our federal courts did not see being important whether or not Obama was a legitimate native born American. It certainly would have been very easy to establish the truth if those courts would have held Obama to the same requirements as the rest of us.
