Ted Is Dead

The Floater just died. I didn't wish that on him but I'm not shedding any tears at his passing. Mary Jo Kopechne could not be reached for comment.

Lion of the Senate? Puh-lease! Howza 'bout the whale of Chappaquiddick?

I guess I'm just a vengeful asshole because I DID wish that on the bastard.

Good riddance.

I will bet you Dollars to Doughnuts that they are not in the same place....so NO second date JerryGuy

Hey Caroline, here's your chance! You can be Senator now.

Posted by: Noturus on August 26, 2009 01:51 PM

Rigor mortis has barely set in and the democrats are already exploiting Teddy's death for their own political gain, pushing their healthcare scam because it was the legacy of their beloved Lyin' of the Senate, the Hero Admiral of Chappaquiddick.

Posted by: thatjerryguy on August 26, 2009 02:07 PM

I didn't celebrate when Frank Church died of lung cancer, and I'm not celebrating now that Ted Kennedy has died of brain cancer. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

It makes me feel even worse, because I suspect Ted Kennedy is burning in hell now.

Posted by: KarlU on August 26, 2009 02:32 PM

It is a disgrace to bury that toxic waste at Arlington.

Posted by: Jim on August 26, 2009 02:51 PM

Sorry Denny, but I have to break with you on the lion thing.

Lions basically sleep, feast on prey and fuck.

So, with exception of the Floater being a drunk, he feasted on the looters vote, drowned Mary Jo, and then ran around with his pants off in Palm Beach looking to fuck, along with his raping nephew.

He was a true Lion in the Senate.

"When I want back to the caaar, Mary Jo was gone" would be an appropriate inscription for him in Arlington.

Posted by: Fukitol on August 26, 2009 02:56 PM

Outside of his immediate family, Kennedrunk will be missed by several bartenders in Washington, DC only. And there is very little chance that he and Mary Jo Kopechne will run into each other where he is headed.
As for him being buried at Arlington, that will be tainting immensely the image and purpose of the place.

Not a whole lotta love for Teddy Boy here, is there ?!? 'Twould be interesting to speculate what "Coulda been" if he hadn't had his Little Brain overload his bigger one & Chappaquiddick had never had happened...He mighta run for Pres in '72 or '76, some fool would have undoubtedly tried to take him out, if for no other reason than to get a matched set, & we would have been spared his making a spectacle of himself for the last 25-30 years...I think the drinking & carousing were WAY worse than what we ever really heard about...

Posted by: Sandy G. on August 26, 2009 03:34 PM

For crying out loud, a couple of years ago Teddy got a new dog, a Portuguese water spaniel, and named it "Splash". You can't make this stuff up. Had the man no sense of shame whatsoever?

Posted by: TalkinHorse on August 26, 2009 04:19 PM

Fuck him.

Good one Noturus. I can just hear her speech declaring herself to replace her uncle for the Senate..... I, you know, would like to, you know, put my hat, you know, in the ring, you know, to be your nominee for, you know, for the senate from the state of, you know….

Posted by: Lange on August 26, 2009 05:18 PM

I think John summed it up pretty good... Fuck him. I saw his big fat red alcoholic swelled face on TV a year ago and told my wife he needed to die then. Wishes do come true. Lion my ass! Turd is more like it. Denny, can we please make this turd Asshole Of The Week, one more time?

Thoughts on Ted Kennedy’s Passing

Ted Kennedy was the most bilious gasbag in the senate. He seemed to think that volume, anger, and animation, could be substituted for eloquence. Further, he took hypocrisy to a new level. Don’t do as I do, do as I say. You could be subjected to a death tax, as long as he could avoid it. And I don’t recall him relying on of the type of health care he was advocating. His skill set included womanizing and distance swimming. One might also include consumption of his father’s source of wealth. I can’t help but see the irony in the fact that his tumor was in the “left” hemisphere of his brain. Good bye and good riddance.

Posted by: Don Ross on August 26, 2009 06:29 PM

The Democrats will make asses of themselves at Kennedy's funeral, just like they did the Wells funeral in Minnesota, which pretty much ruined their elections. Never let a good funeral go to waste. Hope they politicize this to the death of their precious health care bill.

Hey Teddy!! What's the temperature reading down there?? Fucking asshole good riddance.

Posted by: Paul on August 26, 2009 06:43 PM

Gee, maybe finally this so called "dynasty" is over?? What a buncha overrated rich brats this family is. I was very saddened when John and Bobby died. John K. Jr.'s death was really very very sad. But it is time to move on. I know Teddy and God had a very nice talk before God sent him to eternal damnation. I hope Teddy truly had God in his heart and was forgiven??!!

May he be laid to rest in an unmarked grave so that his remains will not be defiled.

Is it too late to put him in the "Cash For Clunkers"?

Posted by: Billy on August 26, 2009 07:52 PM

I like Levin's "Cape Cod Orca" description.

I'm with you, Jim. And he's not the first Kennedy to defile Arlington National Cemetery. Robert F. Kennedy is buried there, too. He never served in the military either--all he ever did was serve as attorney general and run for President. Hell, according to Wikipedia he didn't even want to be buried there--he wanted to be buried in Massachusetts. But his family decided they wanted the brothers to be buried together. Since when does a wealthy family get to decide who gets to be buried at Arlington, in violation of all tradition and principle? Yet another reason why I can't stand the Kennedys.

In honor of Big Ted Kennedy, I offer this Incredible String Band song:

Big Ted's dead , he was a great old pig
He'd eat most anything, never wore a wig
Now he's gone like snow on the water, good bye

He was getting old so the farmer said
"Sold him to the butcher just to make a little bread"
Now he's gone like snow on the water, don't cry

Ted may be a moo cow next time around
Giving sweet milk to the people in the town
He'll be whatever he will choose on air or sea or ground

The sows are busy with the piglets fine
I'd put them in the forest now if they were mine
cause I know they like acorns and I don't like bacon

Boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy
Squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly
Boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy
Sham sham sharoo, oh sham sham sharoo
Big Ted's sold and gone

He came into the kitchen while we were away
He took all the rice and he forgot to pay
He´s gone like snow on the water, good bye

He never cared to do the boogaloo dance
All he ever thought about was food and romance
And he's gone like snow on the water, good bye

Ted may be a moo cow next time around
Giving sweet milk to the people in the town
He'll be whatever he will choose on air or sea or ground

The sows are busy with the piglets fine
I'd put them in the forest now if they were mine
cause I know they like acorns and I don't like bacon

Boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy
Squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly
Boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy
Sham sham sharoo, oh sham sham sharoo
Big Ted's sold and gone

What have you done correctly, appropriately, in the face of adversity for the last 46 consecutive years?

Never had a drink with a hazy-Honey? Too bad!

Never had to 'try' and explain yourself on global-TV? Too Bad!

Never had to measure-up to anything more than your own reflection in the mirror? Too bad!

You have a problem with a delinquent-9th child of a celebrity family cheating and then, when caught with it, trying to make amends by enlisting and making the exalted-rank of PFC? Too bad!

I suspect Arlington will be a better place for the implantation of one more PFC. I suspect no one will understand that.

An American, a imperfect American from a flawed family died Tuesday; he fucked-up, he tried to make amends, he went on his imperfect-way and did some damn-good things for even those who disagreed with him.

I could be (and am) talking about Joe Louis, of course. And therein lies the difference:

Some look beyond what they can or cannot do. Some look beyond what they did or did not do. Some realize that, except for the Grace of God, there they go.

I kinda/sorta/figured that the death of Edward Moore Kennedy would bring out hate & animosity and critique without benefit of balance here.

I am happy to say I was not disappointed.

Posted by: DanS on August 27, 2009 12:07 AM

Fuck that pompus bloviating prick Here's your legacy asswipe-----

There once was an asshole named Ted
Who craved for some young and good head
But the big limousine
Landed in the fast stream
And now sweet Mary is dead

May God rest her soul and, torch yours.

You fat commie bastard. If I ever get back to Arlington again, I will find a way to deposit urine on your disgraceful tainting of that sacred place.

They should take your pitiful remains out in the ocean off the coast of Fagachusetts and dump them with the whale shit where, unfortunately, they would still be elevated above their riteful place.

Fuck You Ted

Posted by: Pres on August 27, 2009 12:19 AM

I agree. It's a dishonor to the real men buried at Arlington to place him there.

Posted by: Marksman2000 on August 27, 2009 12:41 AM

Never had a drink with a hazy-Honey? Too bad!
Yup. Sure have, but didn't leave her do drown in a rolled car and try to cover my ass. My bad... I guess if my last name ended in Kennedy, I'd be alright. Hell, I might even be a Senator by now...

Never had to 'try' and explain yourself on global-TV? Too Bad!
Nope, you got me there, but then again I'm not "a reprentative" of the American People. I'm just one of those "thugs" who pays their wages and expects our elected officials to represent us. My bad.

Never had to measure-up to anything more than your own reflection in the mirror? Too bad!
Yup, plenty of times, but I always took responsibility for my own actions and never "swam" from them. There's been plenty of times when I looked in the mirror and didn't like what I saw, there's been plenty of times where I wanted to kick my own ass, there's been plenty of times that I know that I fucked up in a big way, but I stepped up to the plate and took a swing for the fence. More important, I took responsibility for my fuck-up's and took them on face to face.

Some look beyond what they can or cannot do.
I look at what I can do, not what I cannot do.

Some look beyond what they did or did not do.
I look at what I have done in my life and what I did not do. I'm pretty cool with the results...

Some realize that, except for the Grace of God, there they go.
As do I. Here I go...

FUCK YOU TED!

Posted by: CharlieDelta on August 27, 2009 01:29 AM

Ted went in the Army a private. Two years later, he got out a private. The Korean war was in full swing. Ted was stationed in France. It was the only real job the POS ever had. Fuck him.

I usually fancy myself a moderately clever poster but I am humbled by the quality of the posts. I wish we could send a representative from the GOC to read off a few at the funeral. I nominate Bill so that he can know where Ted is buried.

Posted by: patrick on August 27, 2009 08:20 AM

It is customary to raise a glass to the dead but for Ted we would need a whole case. Or maybe a truckload.

Posted by: Titan Mk6B on August 27, 2009 08:35 AM

DanS.......

Several thought`s ....Yes, he did fuck up, No, He never tried to make amends.......Teddie always felt he was above reproach & all other`s were just there for his amusement & pleasure.

Balance...you provided that & we were not surprised , your support for Swimmer was anticipated. After all Swimmer was a hero of the liberal left & by default you ...after all he only killed somebody.

As for Hate & animosity....you got that right, I hate all pompous liberal socialist liberal assholes who believe they are better then others.

So cry yourself to sleep tonight because the No good bastard is dead ....As for most of us.....we celebrate his demise.

Waitresses all over Capitol Hill are safer now that he's dead. Got away with that sexual assault at La Brassaria in1985 along with his buddy Chris Dodd. Google "Waitress Sandwich".

Posted by: Ric on August 27, 2009 09:51 AM

None of my business, of course.

It's true it has been annoying to see him strut the stage for so many years. But, at least, he didn't die strayed by a bullet, and didn't become another martyr of the only aristocratic family USA ever had. Pray the gods you never produce another Camelot. They've been a boring pain in the American butt. Let's hope the numerous progeniture all slowly vanish into obscurity.

Posted by: Claudia on August 27, 2009 11:25 AM

I hope Mary Jo at least gets to slap him in the face before he descends downward from the Pearly Gates after judgement.

Posted by: Greg on August 27, 2009 12:19 PM

DanS - If you or I had killed Mary Jo and then waited until the next day to report the accident, we would have done some jail time. If a Republican would have done sumpin' similar, he would have had to resign. Oh wait, a Republican did and he resigned. I remember you bringing Janklow up in the comments a few years back about how he did no jail time. Like Kennedy, he didn't go to jail. Unlike Kennedy, he resigned from Congress.

Kennedy was an alcoholic, a murderer, and an overall scumbag. Let's not forget how he aided and abetted in the rape of a young girl by one of the Kennedys down in Florida a few years ago. And let's not forget how he and Dodd had the waitress sandwich.

The world is a better place with his passing. It's times like these that I'm sorry I'm an atheist and don't believe in heaven and hell. If there is a hell, Ted's there.

Claudia - Didn't you get the memo? The JHE administration is the black version of Camelot. At least that's the way the LSM has been playing it. Jack had Jackie. JHE has Blackie. I'm still waiting for her to give us a tour of the White House like Jackie did when she was the First Lady.

Posted by: Denny on August 27, 2009 12:37 PM

"he tried to make amends"

He did no such think Danno. That's the problem with you dumbed down libs/dims/socialists. What you call "make amends" is what normal, thinking folks refer to as "saving their own ass". There's a big difference. Kennedy NEVER did anything to make amends. As a matter of fact, when his loser nephew was caught raping/molesting a young woman, old fatty came running to his rescue. If anything, he dug his hole deeper with time. They shouldn't have to dig one for his corpse as his actions have made one more than large enough for him to fit in. Am I glad he's dead? No. I would have actually been more satisfied seeing his life ruined by the horrific crime he committed decades ago. That would have been more appropriate. Death is kind of an easy way out.

Posted by: Ray on August 27, 2009 12:58 PM

Ray.....

It seems to me that when the police went to Kennedy`s nephew`s apartment down in Florida....they found Swimmer hiding behind the couch on his hand`s & knee`s.....Oh yeah!....he was there helping his nephew through the traumatic experience.

Posted by: dudley1 on August 27, 2009 02:01 PM

Denny - If USA is in a Camelot FantasyLand again, Blackie is better watch her BozObama. The Consulate was laughing, asking: Where is Generous Dick? (their name for Jack) when Jackie took us around the White House, with her girlish copy of an upper class voice.

What a tragi-comedy the mediocre Kennedys played all their life on the American scene. So sad when there are many worthy people who have done so much for their country, and have never been given the importance and the honour they deserve. All you have to do is go through a list of scientific and real artistic achievements.

Posted by: Claudia on August 27, 2009 05:23 PM

And "mediocre" applied to the Kennedys is the understatement of the year......So far everybody has been kinder in their evaluation than Teddy deserves. Let's not speak of DanS. Ever!!!
