Doesn't happen very often, but Bou's pissed off again.
Posted by denny at August 27, 2009 10:41 PMI think I should be called 'The Grouchy Not Crippled'. :)
Don't frickin' mess with my chocolate...
Posted by: Bou on August 27, 2009 11:05 PMPreach it, sister! Couldn't agree more, Bou.
(Oh, BTW... I tried posting a comment on one of your other posts but got an error from mu.nu-- something about snark filter of 10, and status 302. I contacted help@mu.nu as instructed, so hopefully they'll fix it)
Posted by: Mo K. on August 28, 2009 01:37 AMWriting from the front lines here in France....I just thought you would be interested to know that last night I was at a party here in France and for the first time heard that the French take on WWII is that if it weren't for Charles Degaulle kicking out the Americans after the liberation, France would be an American colony.
I have read about what is called Allied Military Government for Occupied Territories (AMGOT), and the possibility in France post-liberation, but I don't have much information on this. Do any of your knowledgeable readers know anything about this?
Posted by: Sandra on August 28, 2009 04:02 AMI agree with everything your friend, Bou, wrote. I'm sick of the lack of personal responsibility, too, and have been for a long time. I'm hypothyroid and I eat healthier than anyone I know. I'm still overweight and by the government's standards, I will be deemed persona non grata when it comes to health care. Even though I exercise 6 days a week and stick to a strict nutrition plan of balanced meals; low-glycemic carbs, low fat, lots of veggies and lean meat. Like, Bou, I drink water all day every day. One day a week, usually on a Saturday, I'll have a soda and an unhealthy meal just for a break.
BTW, has anyone noticed how rotund some of our CONgress critter are? But, of course they will be exempt from any sin tax because, of all the sinners in this country, they are the biggest. Bunch of hypocrites.
Just wait until all that health care is "free". Yeah, ok. Hope and change. More like cope & cringe.
Posted by: phthaloblu on August 28, 2009 12:19 PMIt doesn't have anything to do with food or health.
It has everything to do with more taxes.
