AOTW 8-28-2009

I know that a lot of you want me to give the award posthumously to Ted Kennedy. Had he not died, I would have. I was gonna give it to him for wanting to change the law on how to fill out a Senate seat so there would not be a special election when back in 2004 he had the law changed to require a special election. Back then, he thought that if Flipper won, Mitt Romney would get to appoint a Republican. Now, he wanted the current governor to appoint his replacement, prolly a Kennedy.

Anyway, I don't give the award posthumously.

Speaker Blinky was a possibility for trying to politicize his death and saying we should pass Obamacare for Ted. She just won it recently so she doesn't get it this week. I like to spread the wealth.

Nope. I'm giving it to ABC and NBC who have dropped all pretense of impartiality by opposing Obamacare or using Speaker Blinky's new name for it, Kennedycide.

"The ABC Television Network has a long-standing policy that we do not sell time for advertising that presents a partisan position on a controversial public issue," spokeswoman Susan Sewell said in a written statement. "Just to be clear, this is a policy for the entire network, not just ABC News."

This from a network that aired an infomercial on Kennedycide.

NBC, meanwhile, said it has not turned down the ad and will reconsider it with some revisions.

"We have not rejected the ad," spokeswoman Liz Fischer told FOXNews.com. "We have communicated with the media agency about some factual claims that require additional substantiation. As always, we are happy to reconsider the ad once these issues are addressed."

Yannow, I can remember when the LSM at least pretended to be nonpartisan. So to ABC and NBC which has proven that they are indeed the propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party here is your latest award.

The propoganda arm of the dimocrap party. Yup! To the core!

I can't tell you the last time I've watched any network alphabet channels. They're a joke from 'local' news to 'national' news. It's not news, it's fucking liberal/progressive bullshit propoganda at the very least. At the very best it's a bunch of 'tards trying to dumb the American public down to take more liberty and freedom from the American patriot...

Ok Denny, I see where you are comming from. I was just wondering though how else you could have given the AOTW honors to the Swimmer if he hadn't died first?
I'll shut up and go to bed now.

Good one, Denny. The Main Stream (Leftist) Media is undoubtedly receiving good press in Ted Kennedy's new lodgings....

"The ABC Television Network has a long-standing policy that we do not sell time for advertising that presents a partisan position on a controversial public issue,"

Right... they produce it themselves and sell advertising for it.

NBC does not surprise me seing as the CEO (Jeffery Imolt)of GE (which owns NBC) is an Obama energy czar and has his lips permanently attached to Obama's ass because he stands to make a ton of money off of all this green bullshit. What is your excuse AllBarackChannel?

Posted by: kerrcarto on August 29, 2009 10:18 AM

Fuck that should have been Jeffrey Immelt.

And, of course, when all else fails...."Its ALL Bush's Fault"...

I had the misfortune of timing my workout yesterday during the funeral for floater. all tv's at the gym on various networks that all covered it. some observations.
1. all the women in the choir were double baggers. some justice there.
2. his son Patrick (no relation) ranted about how he was a great dad, took care of him when he was sick, and took the family on vacations. To paraphrase Chris Rock "Snigga thats what you are SUPPOSED to do!!". Don't boast about that shite.
3. as a group the Kennedys were a bunch of tired, bloated, lazy looking MoFo's.

I don't watch alphabet news often, but last time I checked, I didn't see pro gay marriage or pro legalizing Marijuana commercials on the evening news either.

Thoughts on Teddies TV coverage......

I happened to catch part of Swimmer`s hearse being driven slowly down the boulevard for the grieving throngs of people to weep over. I seen about 18 people lined up on both sides of the street!!

Either the lamestream media did not announce the route for the motorcade which was carrying Swimmer`s body......or relatively very few people gave a damn. I suspect the latter.

When I consider the outpouring of respect for previous national figures like his brother`s, LBJ,Reagan Ford & even Nixon.....one has to wonder when the lamestreamers are going to get the message Swimmer was not that beloved anywhere except in Massachusett`s.

dudley,

I actually agree.

His brothers will always be giants in politics compared to him, their careers cut short by assassination as opposed to scandal.

It's hard to compare yourself to martyrs though.

I don't really think Nixon got an outpouring of sympathy, he was always seen retrospectively as a villain.

Posted by: Robin Palm on August 30, 2009 01:11 PM

Robin Palm....

Glad to hear from you, Nixon did receive a great deal of respect.....just not from the mainstream media which hounded him his entire political life. Not saying he was right in how he tried to protect his people, but in retrospect compared to what others did which was ignored or covered up, he was unfairly demonized.
Consider also the fact the world community did not view his alleged criminal activities as anything other then politic`s as usual....he was well thought of across the globe.

Lame Stream Editorial Writers......

Eugene Robinson in a column which appeared today wrote about how we have lost the greatest Senator of this generation, the Liberal Conscience of the Senate who understood the morality of working for the common people......... Not a word about Chappaquidick or Mary Jo. It is amazing just how much criminality ,arrogance or in this case murder these compassionate Liberal Journalists are able to accept or ignore in order to continue to support worthless bastard`s like Ted Kennedy. Eugene Robinson is a shill for the Democratic Party & does not belong in print.

As a side note ...there was a cartoon showing Teddie standing at Heavens Gate complete with a halo talking to St Peter who said ...do not worry Ted.."We have Universal Healthcare for everybody"

Sorry!......It was the Wrong Gate & It was not St Peter.

Here's a non-partisan solution to most of our national problems: Grover Norquist just said that Congress (Dimocrats and Depublicans) should stay at home. Pay them to stay at home and do nothing; that the stock market rises an average of 17%+ when Congress is out of session. I've been saying that for years. We should pay them to never return. Mob rule is no longer the enemy without, but the enemy within the Beltway.

Posted by: Cliff on August 31, 2009 11:44 AM

Richard Nixon murdered more Americans than LBJ (fact) and for that I will never forgive him. Piss on his grave, him and McNamara and LBJ.

Posted by: Cliff on August 31, 2009 11:48 AM

Cliff - I agree about Congress. The Founders never visualized career politicians. They expected it to be a gummint run by citizens, not partisan hacks and they didn't envision it to be a full time job. Here in Georgia, our legislature is in session for less than three months, from sometime in January until sometime in March. If there is critical unfinished business, they are brought back for a special session. This gives them less time to fuck things up.

The drive-by media isn't airing this TV spot because they're too busy not covering Cindy Sheehan protesting pResident BOzo.

Posted by: thatjerryguy on August 31, 2009 04:38 PM

Right, Denny! Our founding fathers not only did not forsee the evil of career politics (that is, where sinators grow disabled and demented for a steady paycheck and exercise for their big mouths), they also did not forsee well-financed foundations on the left and right pushing agendas citizens would not agree with it if they understood. Washington warned us about political parties.
