Boinked Again

I read an article about this in the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation this morning, but couldn't find it on their website. Since they revamped it, it's next to impossible to link to any of their articles. I guess they don't want incoming links from blodgers.

Remember Jhg Hussein Ears promise to cut taxes for 95% of Americans? Ooops! Another broken promise.

WASHINGTON — More than 15 million taxpayers may owe the government $250 or more because of how the IRS last spring set up President Barack Obama's tax break that was designed to help consumers spend the U.S. economy out of recession.

Which didn't do a thing. And why should we be surprised? During the campaign JHE's wife Blackie O (The black Jackie, the best dressed and most beautiful woman in the world, if you believe the fawning and worshiping media.) said that the Chimpy McHalliburton Bushitler stimulus of $600 wouldn't be enough to make a difference.

Individuals with more than one job and married couples in which both spouses work may have to repay the government $400, either through a smaller tax refund or a larger tax bill, according to a report released Monday by the Treasury Department's inspector general for tax administration. Social Security recipients who also earn taxable wages may have to repay $250.

The gummint giveth and the gummint taketh away. I'm on Social Security and I have a pension and investment income. I guess I'll have to pay back that $250 I got. Fortunately, the gummint is considering giving us geezers $250 since we won't get a raise in our Social Security this year. Maybe they'll send it to me in time for me to use it to pay my taxes.

The tax credit, which is supposed to pay individuals up to $400 and couples up to $800, was Obama's signature tax break in the massive stimulus package enacted in February. The credit has increased weekly paychecks for 95 percent of working families, giving them cash to help boost consumer spending during the worst economic recession in decades.

Yet those same families are gonna get screwed come tax time. BOHICA! How's that hope and change working out?

Working for a living they deposited the money a little at a time. It was so little I didn't really notice the extra money. I'll bet you I will notice when they take it back in the spring.

If it stimulated before isn't this going to depress the economy in the spring.
