You are exactly right and every time we go into a conflict we get our hands tied so bad we cant do our damn jobs.....Finding and killing the bad guys.

Suspicion of Muslims isn't the problem; Muslim intolerance of others' opinions is the problem. And diversity isn't the answer; common sense is the answer. To Muslims, the whole idea of multiculturalism ultimately comes down to "my way or the highway." To them, Islam and its followers cannot be blamed or criticized for anything, while Western societies are to blame for everything.

The original settlers of what became the United States were gun-carrying, Bible-toting, narrow-minded, self-sufficient farmers and merchants. They did a pretty good job for a couple hundred years. They weren't out necessarily to create a country where people could become better through tolerance and patience of medieval attitudes. They wanted to create a place where people could become anything they wanted to so long as it didn't interfere with anybody else's plans. As far as they were concerned, the fundamental human right was to be able to do whatever the hell you wanted without nuisance regulations and suffocating taxes from tyrants and kings.

Today we have an atmosphere supported by all three branches of our government in which the majority must be nice to the oddballs and not offend Muslims or atheists or terrorists. Anything which might be offensive to a Muslims, who represent perhaps .01% of the US population, can get you arrested or sued or at least fined. But the Muslim, or the atheist, isn't required to accept any Christian's or Jew's or Buddhists symbols or beliefs.

Liberals want everyone to sit down and have a glass of sweet tea together and be part of some glorious diversity and multiculturalism which isn't even willing to give people who believe in non-Muslim laws and traditions any consideration at all. When we were a "melting pot," we tended to win our wars and export goods, technology, and investment to the world. Today we have diversity and multiculturalism and our trade deficit is enormous, our technology is used against us, and we owe our grandchildren's souls to the Red Chinese.
