Subsidies

Jack Kemp once said, "If you want more of something subsidize it. If you want less of something, tax it."

That's the Dimocrat way. They raise taxes on those who produce jobs (i.e. business) and use that money to subsidize the welfare leeches. We have thrown trillions at the War on Poverty and Lyndon Johnson's Great Fucking Society and what do we have to show for it? Essentially the same poverty levels as we had in the early 60's. The big difference is that a large percentage of "the poor" in this country, our welfare leeches, live better than most of the people in the world. They have gummint supplied housing, food stamps, large screen TV's, and cell phones. And they can sit at home all day and watch their large screen TV's or hop in the rack and create another generation of welfare leeches. And, of course, the welfare leeches vote Dimocrat.

What a country!

You forgot to mention that they MULTIPILED big time.

Old story, you don't want rats to multiply, keep the cover on the can.

The "great" society did just the opposite.

In Kalifornia government and small
business work this way.

If it moves clap and give it a tax break.

If it keeps moving tax it.

If it still moves ad fees and regulations.

When it stops moving subsidize it.

Pete, I believe it was Ronaldus Magnus who said that. Actually the quote is “Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it”. Another great quote from The Great One is "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same".

Several years ago, when "The End of Welfare as We Know It" was actually having an effect, and some of our finest citizens realized that the gravy train was bein' derailed, they started showing up at the local clinic. The nurses there told me that word had gotten out that if you claimed your kid(s) had ADD you could get SSI for 'em. Of course, now that there's a union for care-givers, these same parents want a check and union-type benefits from the State for having to actually take care of their own kids.
I've been told that one local woman gets a grand a month to "care for" her son with Down's Syndrome.
I've always taken care of my own family, but I guess I'm just dumb, huh?
