Saints Won

I knew the Saints were gonna win. Mark Bradley, one of the sports columnists for the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation, wrote in his column today that the Colts were gonna win. Bradley is always wrong. I don't know why he still has a job. At least they got rid of the racist Terence Moore.

It's time for what's left of The Who to quit. Having seen them live in their prime it was sad watching them now. Daltry has lost his voice. On the upside, the light show was good.

This thread wasn't on the site when I made my estute comment tyGuy/Neil.

My comment must have gotten sucked into the black hole and spit out in this one.

I guess the dykes gave way!

My wife was in the next room and didn't even believe it was the Who.

The "Who" has become the "What".

Saints won because Obama gave the Colts his kiss of death. Everything that guy touches goes south. Think VA, NJ, MA. . .

Here's a Link Denny . .

I love The Who. The real world's greatest rock 'n' roll band. But Daltrey's voice has been MIA for years now and his full body spasm to get the lyrics out was just ... sad. Townshend can still play but his singing was played cutesy and that's just ... sad.
Your assessment of the halftime show is spot on. Sadly.

Woohoo! Now people can finally put an end to the Katrina victimization mentality.

Probably in the minority here but I actually enjoyed The Who's performance. And yeah, the light show kicked ass!

What happened? What happened? I miss everything in Toronto...That's why we, Canucks, always rush to USA.

I agree with Paul. They started off a little flat, but I thought they sounded pretty good for a couple guys in their mid-60's. One of the better half-time shows.

There was a half-time show? Huh..must have missed it.

Posted by: kerrcarto on February 8, 2010 12:32 PM

The Saints Won. Why do they bring a dino rock in every year? I think a rocken country would be great. With all the money they pay to put on the half time show you would think that they would get someone at the top of their game. I think Trace Adkins, Little Big town put on the best show I have seen.

It was nice hearing the Half Who play a medley of their hits. You're right about Daltry's voice. It left him years ago.

I, too, saw them live in their prime years ago. Sadly, eleven people that came to the show didn't.

I saw The Who 28 years ago at The Cotton Bow. specfuckingtacular. I have no idea who those guys were last night.

I saw The Who in December 1973 at the old Boston Garden. The show kicked ass, one of the best I've ever seen, and I've seen just about everyone. Sad to say, the band died in 1978 in a pile of Keith Moon puke and should have stopped then. I was embarrassed to tell my kids how great they used to be. I think they thought I was a Obama "fucking retard" to think that way. Oh well.

I am not a Rock n Roll fan, but I couldn't help thinking about how huge of an impact on the music industry the Who have had and that in of itself was kind of cool. Yeah, the voices were gone, and there are patchwork remnants of the band, but I am not going to criticize. I'm 38 now, and I am trying to imagine doing the job I love now at the age of 65+ and performing at the same level....time catches us all......on a side note, my son said, "Are those the guys that sing the tune to CSI Miami?"

On a final note. Denny, I am glad to hear that you are on the mend.

Dkelsmith - Thanks for the well wishes.

Maybe the NFL will get Led Zep next year. Plante can still sing and Jimmy Page can still play guitar. He always was a lot better than Townsend. Townsend's forte was writing. Plus John Paul Jones is still alive and Bonham's son can play drums.

I actually had to change the channel during the halftime show. I saw The Who in thier prime and still listen to thier timeless music. It just aint the same.To paraphrase one of thier own songs "I hope I stop singing before I get old".
