Paul sent me this question.
QUESTION?
What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
ANSWER:
It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.
Posted by denny at February 9, 2010 04:03 PMFolks are gonna wish they had those clunkers back!
Posted by: sharpstuff on February 9, 2010 04:17 PMSharp is right. the tax man cometh. that shite was taxable. very funny though.
Posted by: patrick on February 9, 2010 05:03 PMCash for Clunkers will go down in history as one of the more destructive government boondoggles....let's destroy a bunch of perfectly running vehicles so we can put thousands of citizens into new cars they can't afford and credit the car dealerships with money we don't have. It's like pure fuckin' magic!
Posted by: Paul on February 9, 2010 06:08 PMThat is funny.....

Posted by: Bill on February 11, 2010 09:45 AMI thought you may enjoy this.
Due to the current financial situation caused by the slowdown in the economy, Congress has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 50 years of age and above on early retirement, thus creating jobs and reducing unemployment.
This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early).
Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to Congress to be considered for the SHAFT program (Special Help After Forced Termination).
Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (System Covering Retired-Early Workers).
A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice, and SCREWED as many times as Congress deems appropriate.
Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependants & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).
Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by Congress.
Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on, will receive as much SHIT (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. Congress has always prided themselves on the amount of SHIT they give our citizens.
Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT, please bring this to the attention of your Congressman, who has been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.
Sincerely,
The Committee for Economic Value of Individual Lives (EVIL.)
PS - Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions,... the Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off!!!
Oh ya that's funny because it's terrible that they try to help the poor. Boy it must be nice to be rich and not need help. I hope you people never realize what it's like to really be hungry and not hungry like "golly i haven't lunch yet and it's almost 12:30". Hungry like i wonder were my next meal is coming from.
Posted by: Scott on February 15, 2010 12:53 PMOh and the "RAPE" joke posted by OllieN was written for the bush administration
Posted by: Scott on February 15, 2010 12:57 PMDude - I grew up poor. Don't lecture me on being poor. Now I'm a snotty rich fuck. How did I get that way? I worked my ass off and didn't depend on the gummint to help me out. When I worked at IBM, one of my coworkers was a son of a poor black Mississippi sharecropper. He got an education in the Air Force and worked his butt off to get to where he was. 95% of the poverty in this country is self inflicted. I'm more than willing to help the other 5%.
If you're gonna troll this site you might want to read The Rules. You might also want to buy a clue.
Posted by: Denny on February 15, 2010 01:05 PMSo you're more willing to help the people that don't need help? That makes no sence at all. Are you the person who votes for tax breaks for the rich and tax hikes for the poor? Just because you were able to pull yourself up doesn't mean other people will have the same oppertunites.
Posted by: Scott on February 19, 2010 05:03 PMScott - So you have reading comprehension problems too as well as poor thought processes. I am willing to help out those who, through no fault of their own (e.g. accident or catastrophic illnesses) wind up in poverty. That is about 5% of those in poverty. This is Lyndon Johnson's "hand up, not a handout". I am not willing to help out those who dropped out of school and now have no skills or those who have children they cannot afford. In other words, multi-generational welfare leeches.
I see you also have to bring out the "tax cuts for the rich" meme. Where you come up with the "tax hikes for the poor' is beyond me. The poor do not pay taxes. 46% of the people in this country pay no taxes. I am for giving tax cuts to those who produce jobs. Poor people don't produce jobs. Rich people do. Take a basic economics course and quit writing slogans. I'm sure they have a junior college nearby where you can take Econ 101. You obviously have no idea what you are writing about.
