Since it's FOD I think I'll publish sumpin' Ron sent me.
A few days ago I circulated an essay criticizing our Halfrican-in-Chief for accomplishing nothing during his first year in office except partying, making speeches, bullying opponents, and increasing the debt. This morning, while walking my new pup in the pre-dawn gloom, I reconsidered my criticism of the wannabe at the helm of this rudderless republic. I mean, the guy's in a terribly stressful job, and he's new at it, so perhaps I should be a little more patient, a little more charitable, a little more understanding.
Now Monty (the pup), was being a thorough pain in the butt . . . picking up things he shouldn't, jumping up on me with muddy paws, not paying attention, barking at people. Twice he got himself tangled so badly in the leash that he actually tackled himself. But that's to be expected . . . youthful clumsiness, lack of direct knowledge, on the learning curve and all. The li'l guy has to go through his bumps and scrapes and embarrassing foxpaws to learn about the real world. I understand that.
But President of the United States of America -- that's a little different, methinks. Yes, he's a rookie, and yes, he has much to learn . . . but he didn't come to the job exactly like a puppy, a tabula rasa with only a set of needs and instincts to guide him through the day. After all, the guy got a law degree, became a "community organizer," got himself elected to a state senate, then to the US Senate, published 2 books, and fathered 2 children before sitting down behind that awesome desk in that powerful room. He shouldn't be blundering around like a pup, chewing on the wrong things and making puddles on the floor.
Let's see what kind of training Obumbler got before we got him.
Both father and stepfather were Muslims
Early political and economic training from a hard-core communist (Frank Davis)
Raised by a flaky mother and leftist grandparents
Received early training in a Muslim school
Put his name on two books of romanticized reminiscences (which were probably ghosted)
Stated in one book: "I will stand with them [Muslims] should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
Admitted in the book that he preferred Marxist friends and socialist professors in college
Traveled to Pakistan [and perhaps other nations] on a suspicious passport of unknown origin which now cannot be found
Courted the assistance of organized Marxists when campaigning for the Illinois Senate
Spent 20 years listening to an America-hating, Africa-first, black liberation preacher
Consistently voted for legislation aimed at gun control
Declined to show his birth certificate or college transcripts
Refused to reveal sources of campaign contributions (for the US Senate)
Became friendly with and got endorsements from Farrakhan, Quadaffi, and Chavez
Continued to befriend domestic terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn
Unswervingly voted for left-wing agendas in the US Senate (when voting other than "Present")
Installed his wife as the most extravagant first lady in history, requiring more staff and funding than the past several presidential wives combined
Regularly declined to wear flag lapel pins or show reverence to the US flag at gatherings
Rarely places his hands over his heart when the National Anthem is played or the Pledge of Allegiance is recited, placing it instead over his groin
Welcomed his comparison by the media and acolytes to The Messiah
Promoted propaganda that those who oppose his programs must be somehow racist
Promised his administration would be the most transparent in history, but conducted most deals behind closed doors with opposition leaders shut out
Endorses sex education in schools as early as kindergarten and promotes approval of homosexuality as natural
Has hidden or caused much of his personal data to be expunged from public access
Had clear ties to Tony Rezco, a disreputable opportunist now serving prison time
Has enjoyed the organizational and monetary support of arch-socialist Soros in his campaigns for office
Appointed "czars" of questionable character, many of whom are clearly radicals, revolutionaries, or even self-professed Marxists or communists
Nominated cabinet secretaries and personal advisors who were not experienced in the job and who falsified their own tax returns
Campaigned on the concept that the US is the best nation on earth and he needs the voters' help to change it
Had members of his team declare their support for abortion, homosexuality, socialism, wealth redistribution, Cap and Trade, mandatory health insurance, the policies of Mao Tse Tung, and full-blown communism
Bowed to a Saudi Arabian king, a Japanese emperor, but not the Queen of England
Made a world-wide apology tour for all the terrible things America has done but downplayed our accomplishments in promoting liberty and freedom
Diluted or reversed US support of Israel
Used money appropriated for economic stimulus to repay unions, individuals, and various groups which supported his election
Nationalized banks, insurance companies, and auto manufacturers
Removed control of student loan programs from banking institutions and channeled it through central government
Insisted on public health care management by federal government
Promised carbon reductions through control of energy by the central government through Cap and Trade, based on false and skewed science
There's more, of course, but the list already is long enough. My question is not so much one of when our Kenyan-in-Chief will be prepared and willing to do what is in the best long-term interests of 300 million Americans, but precisely how many more "teachable moments" the left-wingers and nanny-staters will require before they realize that the guy is an economic and strategic disaster for the nation.
As I came in to squeeze some mandarin oranges, take my pills, make some tea, and eat my Cheerios, I ran through a short checklist of what voters should have in mind this November AND 2 years later:
Is the country safer?
Is the economy stronger?
Is industry back on its feet?
Have the fraud and waste and abuse in the health-care system been stopped?
Is the average citizen better off?
Has the unemployment situation improved?
Do we have transparency in government?
Has the housing market recovered?
Are other nations working with us more effectively than they did a few years ago?
Is the dollar strong?
Have earmarks on legislation been stopped or minimized?
Are imports up?
Is the trade deficit shrinking?
Are we reducing the national debt?
Does anybody know exactly what will be in the health-care bill?
Will the mainstream media and talk-show swoonfest over this guy ever end?
Frankly, I think the guy is either criminally ignorant or has never read a history book in his life. He's a scrawny 15-year-old with a slow curve and 80 mile-per-hour fast ball who thinks he can come into the National League championship final in the 7th inning with the bases loaded, ahead 3-2 with no outs, and strike out the top 6 batters to win the game. Either he's irretrievably deluded by acute narcissism and colossal arrogance, or his neocortex is congenitally damaged beyond repair.
I think it's time to buy all the gold I can find.
And move to Australia.
Gotta love Ron. He allows me to take a day off now and then. If he starts his own blog, I'll have to start working harder and writing more.
One powerful post. Should be run on op-ed pages around the country.

Posted by: Sandy G. on February 22, 2010 08:08 PMBalack Obama is not now, or ever was a leader. He was and is a climber. He has a narsissitic personality disorder that makes it impossable for him to hear any human voice that disagrees with his egocentric view of reality.
I have a modest proposal on how we need to deal with this poser. We need to elect enough right thinking people to the congress that we can repeal all of this faker's "accomplishments". As soon as his works have been rolled back he should be impeached for his high crimes and misdeminors. The level of proof for an impeacement is very light. Hell, this man can't prove his citizenship. That alone should be enough. No proof is required beyond simple statments of the charges. All you need are enough votes. If the dumbocrats are serious about using reconcilliation to shove Obamacare down our throats, there should be plenty of votes.
One can only hope!
Posted by: Roger on February 22, 2010 09:06 PMOnce again Ron spins a yarn of pure genius.
Posted by: kerrcarto on February 22, 2010 09:43 PMExcellent post and excellent point(s). The only only one that I can see that Ron left out is the kenyan's excessive executive orders.
The kenyan is on a major power trip and wont be stopped until someone stops him.... legislatively, of course...
